At the lower levels, white will often push pawns against 1... b6. In this video, we look at how this could become a problem. #chess

1. b6 for world domination! Great examples and explanations! Once you get the concept of why it's just a matter of when that elo goes up!

I see this all the time, and thus far I had been going the wrong way, basically trying to trade the central pawns off and create weaknesses, but this way looks far more direct. Cheers.

I can't tell if you are saying "Free ELO" or "FreELO." Either way, I am gonna start saying it as one word like that. It has a nice ring to it. I've grown tired of the Caro-Kann and heard you say "B6 against everything" in a video the other day. I started playing it and even without studying any of the lines I am up 100 points. It really is freELO.

I’m happy for you! I said free elo 😀. I think keep fighting for e4 and play c5 if your opponent hasn’t played d4 and in most cases you have a playable position.

Question- since I have to gambit against everything I possibly can, how often do you face the Naselwaus gambit? (E4, b6, d4, Bb7, Bg4!) That is my preffered weapon against b6 at the moment, point being if they take your e pawn, you push d5, and now the bishop cant go back to b7, along with some traps. Also in bullet, you just get a free queen a lot of the time because black plays e6.

I often lose games after winning the e4 pawn. White will often have too much activity and you have to play very accurately.

Are 1. e4, a6 (St. George's Defense) and 1. d4, b5 (Polish Defense) systems playable?
@LightSquares11 ай бұрын
I guess most things are playable if you are willing to study lines. However, if you are a beginner perhaps it’s best to put a pawn in the centre and not worry too much. I have no experience with the ones you mention.

@@LightSquares These systems look similar to the 1...b6. It just have more space than the 1...b6.
