Then he has no business voting Labour. The days when that party was for the working man ended in the seventies - most of the North finally realised this last election thank fuck, otherwise we'd be fucked now with an IRA terrorist as leader, an racist, anti-British Black simpleton as Head of our defence and their entirely anti-semetic cabinet.

Paul O'Grady is apparently banned from The One Show now because of this episode where he spoke how he felt. Typical BBC, they claim to be impartial, impartial means hearing both sides, Paul was delivering one side of the benefit debate, and the BBC as usual cave in and ban him, because he had the front to speak his mind. The fact of the matter is that there are fewer available jobs than people who are unemployed or underemployed by a LONG way. The Daily Mail would like you to get angry at people on benefits, to distract you from bigger issues, but the issue is not one of laziness or 'try hard enough and you'll find a job. If there are fewer jobs than people looking for jobs, then the least employable chunk of the population (working/under class, impoverished, overweight, ugly, unkempt, with mental health problems, with addictions, few qualifications, not "well" spoken, not hugely confident, disabled, under 25, over 50, unmotivated) are going to be unemployed! It's inevitable! And it's a vicious cycle because unemployment can exacerbate a lot of these things! These people are demonised as 'chavs' - in reality they're just poor people who society doesn't have a job, a use, or a care for.

it's not just "showing you're willing to work" it's keeping the fucking motivation day after day until you've been denied so many opportunities simply because hundreds of people are applying for the same job as you. i admit my motivation has dropped to a point of not giving a shit. i moved out of my mams at 20, had my own house, it was brilliant. then my housemates started robbing my shit and demanding money for the utilities when they fell short. i moved back home. then i thought, there's no way i'm going to get another house/flat staying at my mams, so i went to a hostel, which was almost impossible to get into. even then, i couldn't get a place. i've begged for work, i've begged to work for free just for experience, i've begged for anybody to just let me learn or try new shit for me to do. for a while i resorted to busking so i could earn something, i ended up using the money earned to travel and look for work, using local social housing to remain healthy and at least a little cleaner. i ended up travelling 100 miles or so just off of my busking, and nobody would hire me because i wasn't tidy enough, clean enough for an interview. i've been kicked out of charity work because i dared to discuss the medicines available for cancer, epilepsy, muscle problems, and that medicine is cannabis. i had a call centre job training period where i was fired after i reported my trainer for accusing me of saying the word "immigrant" and threatening my job because that word is special and shouldn't be said. i never said the word and got fired for standing up for myself. so yeah, i'm one of the people who has tried and tried to get basic shitty jobs, yet i get fired because someone decided my personal views are too controversial for their sensibilities. i'd work in a heartbeat. i've even applied to be a guy in a chicken suit advertising chicken george. that's how desperate i am. i live with my mam too. again. and the job centre said to me on multiple occasions, i have enough money to just search for work and that's what my money is for. they say that because i live with my mother, she should pay for my clothes, food and utilities. i'm 27. i don't want to be with my mother, i don't want to live at home like an invalid, i want to be in work, away from the indoor, sedentary lifestyle. i try going out but the public transport is too expensive. i don't have £50 a month to waste on a weekly bus ticket. i don't have spare money to go anywhere. the last time i went out with my friends to a club, i was 17. back then i was in college. i have a performing arts degree, i have a business degree, i have an IT degree, i have a licence to drive forklifts (counter and reach) i have little to no qualms about the work i might get. i have friends on zero hour contracts. Universal Credit is a disgrace. the only upside is it's a defined payday and there's no signature needed. i don't care how old this video is. my story isn't important enough. the shit i've been through to just live isn't what i'd wish on my worst enemy. well, maybe my worst, but even then it's not something anybody should have to go through. i'm lucky i have people who are there for me, while at the same time, they're not the kinds of people who can snap their fingers and improve my chances. i've had lawyers in training give me advice, only for the job centre to tell me something different. i went for a job as a barman, and the job centre stopped my money and forced me to go for the same job as a bar person. they didn't even have the foresight to say bartender. they're forcing me to change something unimportant and just leaving me to struggle. they even stopped my friends money for not signing on when his missus started giving birth. 6 months later, he got his money back. they had to literally beg their parents for money and help. i did what i could which was little to nothing. so much for these people on benefits wanting to be on them right? and yes, i'd rather be on benefits than to risk my wellbeing for a paycheck not worth getting out of bed for. the british minimum wage should be at least a fucking tenner. at most fifteen quid. i have 3 friends working the same job on different shifts, 12 hours a week each. the same fucking job. all they do is clean KFC. one of them got let go because the manager wanted more money. the job wasn't redistributed between the two left over, they hired another third cleaner on another zero hour contract. i fucking hate this country. i fucking hate england and the government. i fucking hate the people in it and i fucking hate the class division everybody seems fucking adamant to continue without any backlash. the rich, have all the money, pay none of the taxes, the middle class pay all the taxes and do all of the work. the poor.... they're there to scare the shit out of the middle class. - G.C. this country needs a fucking swift kick in the nuts. hopefully someone will do it and i don't even care if it makes me cough in reaction to it. here's my solution. and i bet it's gonna work for everybody. 25 hour work week. £20 - £30 minimum wage. no overtime. if you want overtime, it's up to the person who is on the next shift to let you take their money, not the boss to let you work as much as you want. everybody will be able to work. no more multiple jobs, no more multiple workers per job. the system we have was for a population which is no longer manageable. too many people had too many kids. the amount of jobs hasn't increased with the population, the amount of pay hasn't really changed, and they length of work is just to keep certain people busy. obviously this is a rough thought. but it's there and it makes a thousand times more sense than what we have right now. if this country had the same amount of people as it did 50 years ago, we wouldn't have financial division as radical as it is. the entire point of a civilisation is to improve lives, not remind the lesser how little they matter. it's not civilised if we're constantly fighting ourselves instead of the people who spread ideas and have power enough to ignore your plight and continue to implement those ideas. point me in the right direction and i'll be a politician who will change Britain for the people and shove two fingers up at the rich and the businesses who think they can reduce morale by giving people shit work for shit pay in shit conditions and shit returns for their work. raise taxes on businesses, raise taxes on the rich. if you have enough money to burn while still being comfortable in life, then you shouldn't even have the ability to say you have money to burn. i'm not talking about charity either. i'm talking direct investment to improve the lives of your countrymen. one we fix the country, then we can go around the world showing developing countries how to get started and impress upon them the markers at which their values and laws should change to spread the wealth. we have a golden opportunity right now to make steps toward a society which is so well balanced, there wont be a single reason for suicide or depression. we have the NHS, we don't have anything like the NHS in regards to homelessness or anti-social behaviour. we blame victims for getting themselves into shitty situations when we should applaud them for trying and encourage them to try again. we shouldn't be giving a single job to more than one person. we shouldn't be dividing wages between families and friends. we shouldn't be allowing the system to blame those on benefits for not working. if there was actual work available, why aren't there demands for applicants to fill that space? i'm tired of seeing others being blamed for a system which does nothing but create victims. it's sickening when anybody with a job looks down on others without a job. it's disturbing to see homeless people have so little motivation, they just sit there, hoping a stranger will help supply them with the finances to live another day. you've never been poor until you've looked at a stranger and contemplated murdering them just to get a roof and 3 meals a day. they wont be missed, and you will get your creature comforts. if you're homeless, and you've never committed a crime worthy of prison to improve your personal situation, i applaud your strength and hope in humanity to not do something which can solve your situation in a heartbeat, you clearly deserve a chance. i've had some hard times, i've had some emotional, financial and mental struggles. prison was always in the back of my head as a desperate attempt to get some food if it comes down to it. for those who are reading this, confused like i'm crazy, you're miles away from home and should realise, most homeless people do consider it. the only question left is, have you ever been the subject of such a fantasy when you pass someone asleep on the path? have you ever been considered for killing, just for one person to have a roof and basic shit to live? for me, hundreds of people have passed me and i've really considered it. suicide is messy and is just selfish. so is murder, but which one is it that you care about the most. your life being interrupted for someones dinner and a roof, or the life of someone who can't bring themselves to commit a crime and think the only solution left is death. you can think i'm joking. i'm not. this country has fallen too far behind. what we had was good. the rules and regulations need to change with the times. it's not the same anymore. the next homeless person you see, take them for dinner. get them a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. give them £20 and look them in the eye, tell them your kindness isn't rare and tell them they're more important than they think. learn their name. reassure them that humanity can change, it just takes the right person with the right idea. my model should be implemented

Most want to work but cant get work. Paul made a lot of sense. Raise the basic wage...he's right. In Holland have been diagnosed with complex Post Tramatic Stress Disorder and Autism level 2. I love working the job I did was my passion AND I was paid to do it. Both Tory party and Labour party dont care about us. Labour say vote again on Brexit as we got the answer wrong; Tory will sell off NHS and more. I have no vote in UK matters according to UK Law as I have lived outside the UK for more than 7 years; criminals lose the right to vote I fled from dying in the UK and I am punnished for doing do. No vote in Holland except City elections. EU is a disgrace; it's undemocratic. In Holland the postal service Postnl that was privitised is now a monopoly again. Imagine Royal Mail being a Private monopoly. Postnl competes in UK.

If O'Grady was indeed banned for this he was probably happy about it. There's nothing/few things more insipid than The One Show.

also for that woman who said, if you really want to get a job you'd be out their looking for one even if you didnt like it, well even if thats so, some jobs either people aren't fit to do or don't have the necessary qualifications for and what also appalling is that some jobs that you apply for judge you on how you look, not what your capable off, and whilst i understand image is key, but so are skills and a lot of people particularly in this country are overlooked on skills and passion just because they don't have the right physic or mental health. what this country need ESPECIALLY with in the work force is an understanding of how to cope with people who have certain issues like physicality and mental health because...ok...they could be shit in one section of a job but in another they could be absolutely brilliant and because they're judged on one job and one job only the post is then sometimes taken up by people who don't understand how to do the job and some only have the job because they blab about how they studied at university and I'm not knocking people who go to uni as I'm at uni myself but work experience is more important than a uni degree, learning from top to bottom so you can appreciate every step of the way rather than just going from rock bottom to the managers chair without the beef in the middle that keeps your hammock from hitting the floor. and also like Paul said if they raised the minimum wage then people can reduce the amount of workload they do in order to keep them from reaching dept level and some people do 3jobs a day and others probably more so to keep there family in a home. So work places need to stop judging other people by image and current state of wealth and actually need to start allowing anyone who is willing regardless of there personal well being to do the job and if they have any issues, they need to be addressed and not to be made ashamed of because, people only put shame on someone who has issues because they themselves don't understand how to cope with it and don't want to so they bully you out of the system which is a shame and i'd wish it would stop.
