Assalamualaikum w.b.t., Brothers & Sisters, who might be reading this.. I would say this quote relate to me so much especially to the using of "happy" and "ease" words. In my experience, my marriage was arranged by family. I have no interest towards the man introduced to me by my family, but my father confide me that he is going to be a good man since he never missed prayers and preserve all the pillars. I did perform Istikhara prayers. Honestly overall I feel I can accept him and believe that feelings can develop after nikah. BUT there is one feeling, only one feeling, maybe a gut feeling saying opposite like "do not proceed with marriage". But I chose to proceed anyway. Sadly, my marriage only maintained for 5 years. 1 year of happiness VS 4 years of complicated matters. What I want to share is, I have noticed the distant signs showed by my husband (at that moment), we have gone for counselling sessions 3 times. We have tried to reconcile. Our parents have met to discuss. As from me and him, I only ask him a favor - to perform Istikhara. With the intention of these words of "happy" and "ease". I have intended to perform Istikhara prayer for 7 consecutive days. REALLY I NEED HIS GUIDANCE BADLY, I JUST PRAYED, "O ALLAH, PLEASE HELP ME, SHOW ME THE GOODNESS/ BRIGHT SIDE OF THIS MARRIAGE, IF I HAVE TO LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS MARRIAGE, IF THIS MARRIAGE IS GOOD FOR ME, FOR MY HUSBAND, FOR MY CHILD, FOR MY FAMILY (MY WHILE FAMILY, WITH IN-LAWS), FOR MY IMAN, FOR MY DEEN, FOR MY MENTAL HEALTH, FOR MY LIFE, PLEASE SHOW ME THE SIGN.... YOU KNOW BEST.. IF ALL ARE NOT GOOD FOR ME, PLEASE SHOW ME THE WAY OUT AND FILL MY HEART WITH COURAGE, SABAR AND REDHA..". I only repeat this words over and over again... I was so lost and I was desperately seeking HIS help after knowing that all the means to reconcile seemed not working. What I meant by "not working" is because my husband (at that moment) seemed to reject all the kinds of counselling.. Like he was ok after 3 hours of meeting the counselor, then he changed 100% to another person completely like forget everything he promised after he spent time with his family (toxic family). All that I can witness is the character of hypocrisy and he is the master of manipulating and pretending in front of others. He keeps on playing victim. I remember after Day 5 of Istikhara, I was still sitting on the prayer mat, I was just finished my prayer, he came and banged the door and said: "What a WIERD RITUAL, nobody does istikhara to ask for divorce or not! Okay, if you want to file a divorce, I challenge you to go to the Sharia Court, see if they will entertain your request and I'M SURE NOBODY WILL LISTEN TO YOU, you ungrateful wife!".. He was so arrogant. That moment, immediately I don't know from where I got a courage to go to the Sharia Court. To cut short story, all the things happened at the Sharia Court was contradictory to what my husband (at that moment) said. They listened to me carefully and helped me arranged the counselling sessions. Lastly, my heart had determined to proceed with divorce. I can't live with someone whom I called a husband but failed to protect me as his wife, failed to protect me from his family (he allowed them to scold me, to make fun of me in front of others), failed to keep secret of what's going on in our marriage, failed to help in chores, failed to help in growing up our child, he was spoiled by his family too much like a KING since he is the only one in his sibling to have good grades is studies and have PhD. Of course the husband once he knew I determined to divorce, tried to delay any meetings and discussions and started threatening me to take my child away from me. He made a condition, if I want a divorce, give the child to him, if I disagree, he won't let go of me. He did all to make things hard. Alhamdulillah..... after the 'battle', I just realized all the burdens only took me 2 weeks before I'm officially divorced. Compared to other couples who took more weeks, months and years just to get divorce. They also feel shocked that I only have to bear the burden for 2 weeks. After the talaq, I feel like all the burdens gone. Finally for the first time, I feel at peace. Alhamdulillah it's been 7 years and I'm always grateful that was the best decision Allah have helped me with. And my child grew happily even with her father absence. She said "she never missed him".. I would say ex-husband (even he had been married to a new wife and have children), he still trying to know where I live, keep asking my daughter where we live, but it is my privacy now and he has no right to know. What I want to say, please practice Istikhara not only for marriage. If you really understand what it is for, you will use it often in all aspects of your life. It is about choosing between the two (that are too strong) that bother you too much. And Istikhara is about seeking ALLAH's help on which one is THE BEST. Sometimes what we think and see is good but actually it's not. Sorry for the long share.. I agree with your quote.

Sometimes there is other signs from Allah swt if u don't do istakaara. I met my husband this way saw him at a wedding was attracted to him. In all the functions we kept bumping into each other. My heart ❤️ kept saying he is the one. Alot of people did not want me to marry him. I was shown other men. But something kept drawing me to him. In the end alot of people tried to make it difficult cause of jealousy.but allhumdullilah I ended up marrying him it was a sign from Allahswt it was meant to be . MashaAllah, this speech is very much needed for me. I get proposal by one girl from my university. After discussing all things matches with me & I liked her piousness & after watching I was positive & I pray Istikharah salah & dua at night & see nothing in dream ; the next day she says that her family don't want to proceed. SubhanAllah, Allah gave the result swiftly. And few days later I got 2nd proposal from my varsity ; I asked her & found piousness & also every thing matches. Then I pray istikharah at night & get result rapidly the next day, they don't want to proceed. Alhamdulillah, I am always grateful to Allah though it was stressful. I did the prayer and then got engaged to the guy. The engagement broke in a week.. my ex fiancé and I never even had a problem in the first place we just had a simple miscommunication going on and then the mother had to interfere in between that’s when everything started going downhill. Well just because the roads are blocked, we can’t come to conclusion by thinking that it is bad for us. Sometimes this blocking could be a test from Allah as well. Istikhara is like making dua. So it can be answered in many ways (eg. Immediately or sometimes later). We should be patient and still keep trying on achieving what we want. If it is not meant to be, then someday we will leave it move on

Even is a test we are human don’t expect us to pass it it’s not easy danger of hating life when you can’t get halal marriages 3 times in my life in my 20s and 30s now I m 42 and I m single I wanted to marry a Pakistan woman we met in school we knew each other very well I she was like a life partner as a example but she can’t marry me because she marries who own kind and later in life I went back home I met a woman I was 34 she liked me but she knew my family while I was on vacation she every time I wanted to hang out in a restaurant and get to know her even with family friends she says yes but no action than when I left back to my city she start to miss me and liking me more but in 2018 I told her over the phone I wanna marry you she said yes but I found out later she was already engaged and my life is upside down and her family had to apologized to me and 3rd I’ve found a real religious young woman we were talking for 1 year over the phone finally I said what you think getting us to married and I told her I wanna marry you but the problem is she had promised someone else to marry . She said she wanted to marry me forsure but the problem she don’t wanna broke that promise to that brother and it’s a sin for her breaking that promise. So I made the right decisions in my life the right way and the halal way due to 3 special women in my life all pure halal good all didn’t workout for me which means Islam the doors 🚪 of good and halal doors being beyond horrible slammed in my face and I m getting older getting to 50s soon now I m 42 I had missed out the pleasures of halal and personal happiness that I wanted. Now life itself I hate halal it’s not for me I had enough halal is not for me at all

My sister in law said there was victory in that but my heart was still not content. I did isteqara before my marriage. It was a complicated proposal I was unable to decide. I did isteqara i found myself wearing red saree. Later i asked scholars they said its good for a lady. All the blocks such my parents not wanting me marry Arab (Im of Pakistani heritage), the paths of our study being different curriculums, never being able to find her father. I really wanted to marry him..wanted to make our relationship halal as soon as possible..after both of our families approval of our relationship, I..myself raised the proposal of nikah..even nobody did.. but unfortunately no one wants to have a nikah ceremony at present.. bcz there's one year for the marriage so everybody denies the idea of nikah..and ended up being engaged..but still the marriage date is not yet confirmed... There’s a person I like, but for some reason some people obv family members doesn’t want it to happen. I prayed once if it’s bad for me, keep me out of it completely and give me the right person, but I did lost my feels for that person for that time being, now all are coming back. 😢 To the context: that person had a major roll to push me in Allah’s deen as that person was my inspiration to follow deen. And it’s been 3 years , I’ve not heard from that person, however, only recently in my dream , I can see that person,,, and it’s like my heart is regaining all it’s stuffed feelings! Don’t think much about it I’d suggest. Sometimes it’s normal to get such flash backs. I’ve been in that position after my break still sometimes I get vivid dreams best to leave it on Allah. But if u still have any doubts make dua and ask Allah for His guidance and ask Allah to forgive you . Istaghfar diminishes a lot of problems. Also you can make dua and ask Allah for help with regards to the dreams

Look, I've made dua for a specific girl I've met at work. I've been in love with her for 4 years now. I made dua to Allah swt that if she is indeed good for me, to atleast let me tell her how I feel and tell her how I want to marry her. This dua came out. But I've kept on making dua where I asked Allah swt that I really want to marry her. If she is good for me, let her be my wife on this dunya and in the hereafter. Brother, we had a fall out. She insisted on not getting married now and that I came in her life at a weird time. She basically chose her education above me. She told me that if I meet someone else, I should not wait and marry that other person. We've talked more and we had to make an end to that conversation as we did not want to commit zina. She eventually blocked me on everything. I still make dua for her. I then came across a video where if Allah swt accepts your dua 3 things will happen. 1. You will get tears in your eyes. 2. you will be enveloped with fear. Or 3. You will feel a huge pressure on you. Brother I made dua for her and I cried. Wallahi I cried. And the only videos I see now is that I have to be patient. It hurts but I have no choice whatsoever. Either it's going to be her. Or someone even better. Untill then patience is all I have. Allah swt can make everything come true. Trust and patience is the key to succes. Wallahi, I've lived through the power of dua before. I will not start doubting my creator now. May Allah swt give me imaan and determination to keep following our beatifull faith the Islam and make us amongst the most succesful Muslims ever. Amin! So my advice is, keep making dua and have trust in Allah swt. Since Allah swt only makes you think and make dua of the the things he is going to give you.

My father performed Istikhara for my marriage saw garbage and refused that proposal but the guy's family called us for many weeks until he agreed and people were convinced Istikhara was just a dua nothing else. After three months I got divorced and that hell time I spent in his home. They tortured me mentally and physically because I brought less dowry. So was it Allah's wish that made me suffer? People convinced me to say that.
