If they don’t respect their parents they are never gonna respect their spouse. 3 Their present characters because they cannot be charged most of the time(Urdu poem- It’s possible for a mountain to move from it’s own place than a person can change from his own character) 4 Are they willing do something haram before the marriage then usually they may do something afterwards. 5 Are they a people pleaser, if the say yes to everyone then usually they are not gonna stand up for their spouse.(They should have the potential to say no when they have to) 6 What is the type of company they may keep with opposite gender. (If you don’t like the way they interact with the opposite gender, then you shouldn’t marry them)

People pleasers often don't know themselves. They say yes and side with everyone, often in opposition to the qualities they sided with earlier. Such people are not authentic, they suffer from low self-esteem, and need to spend time discovering who they are, their own beliefs their values etc. Otherwise such a person will always be unreliable and unpredictable.

Once someone finds a potential partner, they have to let someone know so that he/ she can be approached thru the family. If both party agrees, then they can meet with each other in the presence of someone else from the family. Like you and your potential partner meeting in a coffee shop or restaurant or at home, and talked and get to know each other but someone nearby has to be present. In this way you can meet as much as you want with a few restrictions of the topics you can talk.

Are there cases where people in relationship, gets to know each other and after 5 years of relationship they break up? Yes. Are there people who gets married in 6 months yes. You will never know a person, but that does not mean you wont get married to anyone. The key is to use your judgement, and by "talking" you get to know their intentions, their moral and value. How close they are to Allah SWT. And above all, you keep the faith in Allah SWT. When it comes down to getting hurt by people in this world, people will always do that and even if there is nothing you did wrong. Thats why we should pray to Allah SWT to detach our heart from this duniya. Believe in Allah's decree, have trust in him, use your own judgement, make Dua to Him for a righteous spouse. If you are doing the things right way, even if things fall apart, you will have the peace in mind.
