Hi what are the key tests that need to be rin to check root causes please?

There are a lot of tests but one of the top 5 I run on my clients is a urinary + salivary stress test (measures stress and sleep hormones).

Fatty? Wouldn’t lean protein be more easy to digest at night? As to not interfere with sleep? Usually I wake up 3-4 hours after asleep

Hey Titus! Good info- what about if you are doing intermittent fasting? I stop eating by 7 pm, but go to sleep about 10 or 11. I wouldn't say I wake up every night. It's mostly if I get disturbed- (dogs barking, husband snoring) then I'm up and can't fall back asleep. I don't know if your tips would help me?

Hey there Natalie! If you're practicing intermittent fasting, then the snacks won't work, unless you can get them in and still adhere to at least 12 to 14 hours between dinner and breakfast. Great question and nice to hear from you :)

What about eating butter before bed?

Don’t typically recommend it as many people have issues with dairy (myself included 😢)

Thank you for your work and knowledge sharing! From many people in Russia i heard, that tea with honey after evening meal very good for sleep. This is very similar with your thoughts. But i have a couple of questions: 1. What do you think about "low sugar" concept, that we see everywhere? 2. How about ghee oil as "fat snack"?

You're very welcome! 1. I agree, low sugar is very important or rather, low refined sugars especially. That's why I recommend trying the fatty snack first, and if that doesn't work, trying raw honey. In addition, raw honey has a lower glycemic index than white sugar, so doesn't throw off your blood-sugar balance as much as refined sugar. 2. Ghee is a great "fatty snack", as long as you don't have sensitivity to dairy products. Sadly I do, so I avoid ghee. Great questions!
