One Step Beyond is wonderful. So nice to escape to another time where the world was all together a simpler place. Being from that generation and dyeing isn't a shame it's a relief.

I first took real notice of actress Joanne Linville when she guest starred on Star Trek (The Original Series) playing the part of a beautiful alluring Romulan Starship Captain...she ends up becoming infatuated with Spock in the episode which now is considered one of the more classic storyline episodes of the original Star Trek series. ...Joanne Linville was a lovely talented actress as also noted here starring in this episode of One-Step-Beyond.

She started acting about the time we got a TV. I can never remember not seeing her as I grew up. From one series to another, she played every role they hired her for. Always different. So believable in each one. And so beautiful, even in black and white. When color came she didn't lose any of her charm and beauty. Thank you, I really enjoyed this.

Also famously played the unnamed Romulan commander who had a powerful effect on Mr. Spock (and who can blame him?) on Star Trek The Original Series S2E3, The Enterprise Incident. Her daughter Amy Rydell played the same character on Star Trek Continues. She had a long life, and will always be remembered by Star Trek fans.

I recall she was in a Twilight Zone episode, I think it was entitled The Passerby, a lesser known but still powerful story about the true and tragic cost of the American Civil War. Ms Linville was outstanding.

I LOVE this episode! And I didn’t remember how it ended, right up until it happened - I love when that happens. There’s a really good book with a similar plot that I’d recommend. It’s called “The Killing Gift” by Bari Wood, and I think it was published in the late 70’s or early 80’s. A woman who has “the killing gift” is recruited by a detective to assist in a little vigilante justice on some unsolved cases. It’s really well written and a great read! Let me know if anyone has, or will, read it!
J'aimais beaucoup Joanne Linville, une très grande actrice. Merci.

I have noticed that the twilight zone Episodes almost copied some of the Stories from one step beyond like the one twilight zone episode what you need.. there was an extremely similar one step beyond where instead of the guy selling stuff out on the street on a table like a peddler. What’s the gentleman in question that was given people what was needed owned a store In one step beyond extremely similar

We had very kind nice but frail old lady teacher in a remedial class I attended when I was about 10. For no reason I wished her dead we broke up for end of term and the teacher did not return a week or two later when school started again. I never found why but I felt dreadfully guilty, as if I had wished and caused something bad to happen to her, never did that with any other teacher. Wished bad of bullies, but that did not change anything unless I turned on them which I did sometimes. I am sure I sensed the inevitable of a very good old teacher Mrs Wormstone, who was almost certainly well past retirement age and barely fit enough to work. But I have always had a reluctance to wishing anyone bad!
