The restaurant was almost empty and just a couple of tables over was Suzanne Pleshette eatIng with a companion. She was down there filming a movie. Her voice was unmistakeable as it got deeper as she grew older, no doubt from smoking. She was a beautiful woman, but we did not bother her or her dinner companion.

They were saying that the guy is the only person with THAT blood type within the LOCAL AREA. I can see how that could happen in a small town. AB- is the rarest blood type. Only .6% of the population has this AB- blood type. The thing is, someone with AB- blood can RECEIVE from OTHER blood types as well: AB-, A-, B-, and O-. This being a TV program, perhaps the blood type they are referring to is fictional...? You can donate blood platelets every 2 weeks. You can donate whole blood every 8 weeks. There are stipulations and regulations regarding these rules, but most people with normal health can donate at regular intervals. Most people, however do NOT donate which can cause some real issues for people in need. If you have O- blood type, you really need to donate as it is the "universal" blood type that most people can receive. It's what they use in hospital emergency rooms when they need to give someone blood quickly but they don't know their blood type. Super important to donate as only about 5% of the population donates even though about 95% of us will need blood or their components by the time we are 75 years old. www.donateblood.org
@arx7546 жыл бұрын
mark: I'm O+. Decades ago, after donating a few times, I was told not to donate anymore because I was more trouble han my blood was worth. I passed out each time. And, once, I even stopped breathing. So, I stopped giving blood. Not angry or resentful because I could see their position easily. Thankfully, I'm not of a blood type that is needed. Even now, I have to mentally prepare myself when I have to have blood taken just for tests.
@TheViewmaster19716 жыл бұрын
