Yes,this actor was phenomenal in his role of General George Washington. Everyone in this episode was great even actor plays Lafayette. But most astounding incident when soilders threatened to desert his command; he turned walking away and mentally unstable soilder fired musket nearly point blank into his back. Not a streatch upon him.

The coat that Washington wore during the Battle of Monongahela was on display at the Valley Forge National Monument Museum several years ago and may still be. It's full of bullet holes - truly remarkable that he could have survived without being wounded.

At the battle of Monongahela, future President Washington not only ended up with several bullet holes in his cloak, but also had a few horses shot out from under him. Plus, he was having to use his musket/bayonet to tip the rifles of his own men upward so that they wouldn't shoot each other, so chaotic was the battle. Indian sharpshooters, however, had several clear shots at GW. Not one of them met their intended mark.

Factoid......deserters from Washington's army crossed the Delaware earlier and warned the Hessians at Trenton in the year before this episode would have been in time. Because of the weather, the Hessians thought the deserters were nuts. After crossing the Delaware, taking all night to do so, Washington's army fell upon the Hessians who were caught completely off guard with most still in their quarters trying to keep warm from a storm that began on the previous day, Christmas Day, 1776.

I was lucky enough to be visiting the Smithsonian Museum on the day they were re-displaying Washington's uniform and cloak which had just finished being refurbished. The worker was wearing white gloves and he turned to us on the rope line and said, "Do you want to see how close we came to losing (the revolution)?" Then he stuck his gloved fingers through two large musket ball holes in Washington's cloak.

The suffering of the soldiers at Valley Forge, and Washington’s desperate attempts to rally Congress and the states to their aid, has become legend. This was the first large, prolonged winter encampment that the Continental Army endured-nine thousand men were quartered at Valley Forge for a six-month period. During that time, some two thousand American soldiers died from cold, hunger, and disease. The troops who survived emerged seasoned and disciplined, a far cry from the untrained men who had straggled into camp during the bitter December of 1777.

I've honestly, actually experienced "one step beyond" this existence we know, feel and see. Ok. I was born "unloved" and "unwanted" and violently abused then threatened with death. At age 8, I thought my whole life was destroyed because of that abuse being so traumatizing for me at the time. I was a little boy who knew about church and Jesus and God though. It was to "God" that I cried out all alone in my little cubby each night after one horrible experience I can't mention in detail without probably sickening you, and me too. After a time of consistent prayer, I was given a vison where I was with an angel in a very dark realm that felt "thick" to walk in. The angel told me God had heard me and invited me to tell Him whatever I wanted. I was scared though. I felt like I, some little boy, had made God have to prove Himself when He shouldn't of had to, and now that I "knew for sure" God existed and was watching everybody, I didn't need to tell Him anything because He already knew. I also now knew people didn't have a clue about God and the angels unless God wanted them to, like me right then. Well, as me and the angel I was with walked forwards towards the light up ahead, a human-shaped super-bright white light sitting high behind a golden counter-looking object, I thought maybe a joke would make God laugh and be happy so He wouldn't be angry at me for praying as much as I had been, and begging so much like I had been too. As I slowly stepped forward, step by step with my head down as if I was still hurting and even sniffling back tears, I said when I got closer, "God... God...", and that's as far as I got when God did exactly what I was going to do before I could even do it! God had super-quickly stuck out His tongue and made that fart sound that children make with their mouths to make other kids laugh when they heard it! Then, there was a chorus of whole-environment-filling laughter from other angels I didn't even know were there, swirling all around celebrating God's love for a small hurting little boy, and I knew it too. But, mine and God's loud laughter were the loudest. A few seconds later everything suddenly changed and I was right back in my little cubby underneath the staircase were I was forced to sleep. But... I knew! After that afternoon vision, there was a set of ten dreams that were not exactly like 'asleep dreams' are. They were in full detail, and had proper flow and character, not odd occurrences going from one bizarre thing to another, like flying without a plane, ones like that that you'd know were just dreams for sure. Ones you'd forget seconds after waking. No, these were all in that same dark realm as the vison I had, but much more had happened. The 'dreams' were while I did sleep overnight though. Each time I was suddenly walking beside the tall, shining bright light to my right that emitted sparkling love I could actually feel. The light that would speak when it was ready to, letting me know that it was God. And to my left was what I first thought was an ocean with a multitude of long lines of tightly-packed waves coming towards a shore I couldn't see because of me being up on a flat plateau where God was. I kept on glancing at the ocean as me and God spoke, wondering why I didn't hear any sounds of waves breaking upon the shore that had to be nearby below us. I was telling God all about how I loved my family still, after all they had done to me, when He stopped me and said, "Go, Look!" I knew right away He wanted me to go look at the sparkling waves, so I walked the 20 or so feet to where I could stand on the edge of the cliff and look down to see them. When I did, I saw there wasn't any waves at all, there were people! LOTS of them, as far as my eyes could see in both directions and straight ahead of me. There was a multitude of people facing forwards, lifting and lowering their arms in unison as if pleading up to the light shining from up above them on the plateau. They had small lights of their own in the palms of both their hands that had brightened and dimmed as they raised and lowered their arms. Lights that only activated in God's presence when He energized them for a purpose, to make them feel somewhat comfortable in His presence. The looks on their faces was one I pitied. They looked sad and very tormented, like they all were tortured by some horrible thoughts they feared, even dreaded. Then, in my little boy heart and mind, I knew somehow they were fearing their final judgements, and all knew it was far too late to do anything but plead, plead temporary insanity and hope it might work. Yes, the grown adults in front of me looked exactly like hurting little children who knew they had done wrong and been finally caught, then self-shamed, and now knew they all were awaited some form of equal punishment. I wish I could say it was different, was something I saw that was otherwise, but that would be lying. Matter of fact, may God punish me for eternity if anything I wrote in this comment was or is a purposeful lie, "is" because it goes for the rest of this comment because I haven't finished sharing what I know yet. I saw my evil mother and sisters in the front row, looking up at me through sorrowful eyes taking only quick glances like they knew they were in big trouble for horribly hurting me, and knew nothing they said, would I ever believe. I heard God ask me, "What would you have Me do to them?". I answered, "They're just sick, is all. I want to save them because I love them!" God then said, "Go, grab love and pull it up!" I knew what God meant, too. He said I could go, reach down and grab my mother's hand somehow and pull her up to us. I put my hand out towards my mother and watched my arm stretch all the way down to her. My mother did that silent 'blink blink blink' thing with her eyes she does when life throws her an unexpected decent thing curveball. Then, I saw her grow the most loving big smile on her face that I had ever seen... her little boy didn't hate her, he loved her and even forgave her! She took my hand and I started pulling her upward. She started coming, but then I got an idea like little boys do. "Mom, grab love and pull it up with you, God said!". My mother blinkity-blinked remembered how she had forgotten my two sisters, and soon her arm was grabbing ahold of my big sister's hand who knew automatically to grab onto my little sister's hand. A chain was being formed. I'll end right there because the rest is mostly private and people don't need to listen to all that part. God told me when I asked Him that He only wanted to love His creation, walk and speak with it but that it chose not to love Him. It would have rather been alone and done as it pleased, so God said He left us to our own will until time ended. He allows us to go our own and learn what happens, but only until the day He says, "STOP. ENOUGH". God explained some very interesting things to me, for one, like how men think our "spilt sperm" have all been discarded after masturbations' 'thought secret' pleasures, disposed of like waste or something. A small boy was told by God long ago about men's spilt sperm not being either secret or wasted like men think. It was "a multitude" of people in that dark realm that I had been invited to visit. God said "the most evil" were being pushed towards the front, being crushed, "the most innocent" were awaiting His final judgement in a more tranquil environment at the rear of the multitude and not being crushed together. He explained about the spilt sperm when I had quickly asked "Is there really that many people on the earth!?" after seeing that HUGE multitude down below us that I had first thought was a whole big ocean with a whole lot of tightly-packed waves rolling slowly towards shore as far as the eyes could see. edit: Please forgive me for making you need to read even more than what I wrote above, but I somehow neglected to share the most important part regarding those people I mentioned that await God's final judgement that are in the back of the multitude I was shown, the "spilt seeds" He told me about. I'll be quick. God told me they will ALL be told they are completely innocent, but that they are very blessed in that regard because of them not having the fair choice to decide the way in which they would have proceeded, had they had been allowed to create behaviors. They all will then understand completely regarding the manner in which they all were blessed, and be very, very thankful they were never born. They will also then have pity on us who were actually born and given free choice yet still blew it, blew it as if we all were only purposeful, miserable, earth-bound failures all without even realizing it, all while God and angels watched in sorrow and sadness as they pleased or didn't.

Look up the life of George Washington on his death bed he said he cold he wanted his old cloth around him it had holes in it from battles he had been in that old cloth was send back to Washington dc. It in library you see the holes though a window he should have been killed many times in a battle l went to Washington dc in 1970 l saw it Washington never had children his step son gave that old coth to john Adams with a letter Washington wrote him a few months before his death he asked that letter never to read to anyone else. I have such visions myself, have been near death 17 times and died twice. I drowned at the age of 5 (1948) and killed myself by overdosing that stopped my heart (1969). Yet something or someone is watching over me and I was resuscitated both times after being in that other place. Who is it, what is it that protects me from dying? Some kind of guardian spirit or someone from another planet? Doctors are bewildered trying to treat me for things that are rare. Medicine that helps others have almost killed me because my body rejects it. I am at this time of posting this, fighting for my life. Why you ask, there is a defect in my heart that is so strange, it’s classified as very rare. It’s that rare, not many people have it. It will take a rare procedure to repair it if possible using microsurgery. Oh yeah, I used to live a few miles away from Valley Forge. So I visited many times and got the strangest chill, even during the summer. They have small cabins still there where the soldiers stayed that winter. Interesting place to visit, there’s even a beautiful chapel to visit.

I notice this happened after he prayed earnestly. Now the Lord spoke to Samuel with the voice of Eli and to Jesus with Moses and Elijah present. Never ever look for the dead among the living, else like Saul you'll end up with a familiar spirit of death, a death messenger; but if you ever receive a vision, search or ask of what it thinks about the role for humanity and Jesus' triumph over darkness by His death and resurrection and wether He loved and saved the world fully on His part, and conquered darkness + satan... That question will tell you wether or not it's from God.

Most of this is based purely on myth. However, the part in which Washington is quoted saying he believed he was saved for a great mission in life following his extraordinary survival when he and the regiment he and Gen. Braddock were returning from Ft. Duquesne (what is now in fact Point Park in downtown Pittsburgh) is correct back. Of course, many people who have been snatched from certain death or have near-death experiences conclude they were saved for a purpose. In a case like Washington’s this can understandably be attributed, at least in part, to survivor’s guilt when so many others died.

There is considerable historical detail in this episode. Lafayette is shown hobbling on a crutch. He had been wounded through the calf at the Battle of Brandywine Creek in September of that year before the Continental Army camped at Valley Forge.

"Ancient Aliens" related this story. The Indian was said to have had green skin. It is based on a story in the 1880s from a long-lived survivor of Washington's retinue, and included references to visions of the country spreading across the continent, and the seeming prediction of the Civil War. Whether it was a true story or a myth to encourage the nation after the war, people can judge.
