Thank you all for the overwhelming support on this film. This is my first time making anything like this, it was a risk for sure, to abandon my style of quick and dirty action shots, in favor of a more cinematic style. You've all got me stoked to keep going! Expect bigger, better content from now on.

What a great short film! Really impressed with not only your cinematography, but your writing as well. Looks like you really grew in your life through your experiences directly connecting with the land and your comrades. Cheers to you!

Wow, that was really great. Thanks for posting the link on teh TRG. Funny for me, as my low tide skis are DPS 112’s, my main backcountry skis are Praxis BC’s, and my main inbound skis are Ripsticks. I love the lengthy helmet cam sequences.
@extreme_ryan_delena Жыл бұрын
Yeah. Ripsticks are definitely an inbounds ski, but as Brennan and I like to say, we are skiers that became climbers, so we prefer the downhill performance over the ultralight skimo vibe. As for the shots, I’m glad you liked it. I was definitely looking over the GoPro footage and realizing I had some real ski porn on my hands. Really dreamy powder in a very aesthetic place. Sometimes the challenge with these films is deciding how much of the experience can speak for itself, and this definitely did. Thanks for the watch !

I think those black editions would be perfect, and they seemed to be. Kinda surprised I don’t see them more in the wild. Under rated in a way. Anyway, really cool.

Thank you! I appreciate that a lot. And yes, the constriction on the Model T is magical. Interestingly, I talked to the first descenionist and he didn’t experience anything like that back in the day, suggesting that a very large rock may have fallen into the couloir, creating that constriction

Great video. Was wondering about those blue, dish glove looking’ gloves Ryan is wearing. What are those ?
@extreme_ryan_delena Жыл бұрын
That is the Atlas Temres, aka the Cadillac of ice climbing gloves. While they’re only 20 bucks on Amazon, they’re insulated on the inside, grippy on the outside, and have wicked dexterity for tying knots and clipping carabiners. I started using them for ice, and like them so much I just used them everywhere. The one downside is they wear out fast, but they’re cheap enough that it doesn’t hurt to get a new pair when you need to.
