I can’t stop watching these Golden Nugget videos… awesome work! There’s just one question that’s been nagging me since the body came back from paint and the wide axles were bolted on. Maybe I missed someone talking about it, but are there fender flares planned? I cringe a little inside every time I think about what’s going to happen to Robby’s sweet paint the first time this goes off the pavement and kicks up some rocks. 😬

Watching the nugget transformation has been an amazing process. I remember in October of last year I was in search of some property out Southern Utah and found myself looking and lost 22 miles out Skutumpah Rd.. I got myself into pickle and had to call Matt's Offroad to come out and rescue my Dodge, "There's a Dodge Truck Buried Under there?!?!". Turns out Matt, Paul and crew had just taken off the day before to go rescue the Golden Nugget and so Rudy and Jefe ended up taking his truck along with their new trailer and the Morrvair out to yank my truck out. Had that not been the case it probably would have been job they handed to Fabrats because it was much closer in proximity to their place than Matt's, where they had to drive 300 miles round trip from Hurricane just to free me up. Anyhow thanks for all your hard work and entertaining videos, always look forward to them!

We usually got a nugget video once per week. Occasionally more than that, when two channels overlapped or somebody like Chad added another perspective. For a total of maybe nine months or 39 weeks, there should more than 40 videos. Length varied, I felt they got longer towards the end, but maybe 25 minutes might be a conservative estimate as an average. That adds up to more than 1000 minutes or roughly 17 hours.

80% lin seed oil and 20% paint thinner and stir it well and then wipe atv plastics with it and they will shine again the thinner softens the plastics and the lin-seed oil soaks in and keeps the shine :) I've used it on all sorts of plastic that faded :)

They have radios that are basically the size of the ol removable faceplates that you can just connect up the power and speaker wires to the back of them and it's handled. Wondering if Ed really wants a radio you could probably pick up a decent one and get Ed radio'd up! Could probably just build a little L bracket to mount it just under the dash with a couple screw holesright above the hump. Just a thought

If you're looking for a great shear for fabrication.... try to find yourself a Beverly B2 or B3 throatless shear. They are amazing for cutting a radius in your materials. I use my B3 all the time. It'll be your go to tool for sheet metal fabrication.

💯% agree! That shear he has is a half ass knock off of a Beverly Shear! Back when they used to advertise, their motto was "Shear it cleverly, with a Beverly" I have one, and shearing that radius is a piece of cake! Awesome progress on the Golden Nugget !!

Great video everyone. Paul, the Grim Reaper figure is pretty cool. I think cutting it out of the vehicle and hang it in your shop, or somewhere it can be appreciated. I guess you can appreciate it every time you visit Billy's junk yard!

Brother, quality custom work rarely is quick. Sure, we all want to see the reveal, and Ed's joy. But we all want the best possible work. That takes time, money, and above all, effort. You are doing great!

It may have taken a day and a half to build that shifter, but it was time well spent. You did it proper, the fit and finish modifications are spot on, and it functions. Outstanding job.

Looking great! But unless you've already done it, please remove the remaining stainless steel bolts/nuts from the suspension links and replace them with proper Grade 8 hardware. Unless you're buying from, say, ARP, stainless hardware may be ASTM 303 or 304 with a working tensile strength as low as one-quarter of Grade 8. Those need to be replaced for Ed's safety.

I have worked with a lot of stainless nuts and bolts and yes they are soft. When ever I had to take something apart and put it back together with stainless hardware I always just replaced it because a bunch of it would seize and have to thrown out because it is soft.

I’ve already added this to another comment; there might be over 1000 minutes of published video on KZbin about the Golden Nugget when all is said and done. A total of nine months (ie, 39 weeks) with Rob and Paul mostly sticking to a format of one weekly video on the Nugget. With a couple of videos on Chad’s channel and a few others here and there, it’s probably over 40 videos . Assuming an average of 25 minutes per video that adds up to 1000 minutes or 17 hours.
