I used to attend the Dead Baby Bicycle Festival in Georgetown. What a hoot! My Dad was born there and I used to work in South Park and live on Beacon Hill. It was one my favorite times in my life.

Airport Way is my favorite road in Seattle. I used to take it every day into work from Rainier Beach into Queen Anne. I drove through Georgetown twice every day. The traffic can be pretty gnarly around rush hour. I went to Star Brass Lounge and El Sirenito and another bar a little ways down that closed in 2020 for a couple date nights. Fun little neighborhood.

I’m so old I remember when the original businesses operated in that neighborhood. Damn, I feel old now.

I put you to the test... if you can hack out ten block days in Georgetown you will be a native Seattleite! Also eat the dirt plot near Banner bank 😂

2:41 Come on. You can have a conversation with anyone in any bar/restaurant in any state in the country. You don't need to be in the "culture" district of a yuppy hipster neighborhood. Every city in the country has one of these neighborhoods. Oooo... a brick building... lets sell micro brew or records in it because that's cultural. lol

Agreed. I grew up in San Francisco, CA but personally never had that "talk to anybody in the bar" experience there. It was cozier & easier to talk to anybody in the neighborhood in the bodegas of NYC for me.
