i've owned 4x4's and have been casually offroading for 40+ years and these videos make me shake my head. how in the hell did some of these folks think they were going to get through some of these places in these vehicles?

@christinamoneyhan5688

It all comes down to the pulley system. It is physics. Every time you double the pull every time you reverse the pull. Takes a lot of pulleys and rope. There is a video of Army men (5 I think) pull a Hum V out of belly deep sand using this technique.

We get hundreds of these comments We are on the fence about showing the technical part of the job Why should we offer free knowledge when we had to pay for classes and pay for schooling to learn it Then modify it for what we do? We also have a lot of people follow us just to try an learn how we do it So they can do the same thing in our area and become competitors

Well said. Your videos are more about the fact that “you do” get them out of their predicament and “not how” you get them out of their predicament. You remind me of myself when l was in this exact same business years ago and it never pays to give away too many “trade secrets”. 😊👍👍 I fully admire your work, as l can relate to it 100% and l know what you do and why you do, what you do. 😊 Keep up the good work, you’re setting the bar, for the rest to (try) follow.

Mud suction is something else I tell ya. Nothing is better then having a winch to pull ya buddy outa mud. That suction will break axles, drive lines, or just rip truck in half trying the "rope stack then floor it" technique.

Those Diesel F-250's are NOT mud boggers. They are lead weights. They're better at cruising the Walmart lots in search of a parking space. They are north of 7,000 lbs and can be as heavy as 8,300 lbs. Unless you have balloon tires, keep them on the pavement...

Ya know, you could have a really nice channel, as good as that lame MORR in Utah. But brother, you're going to have to up your game, explain what you're doing and add some interesting content. It would really help to have someone man the cam while you're doing your job, or at the very least, wear a chest cam or helmet cam.
@harpintn
@harpintn Жыл бұрын
If he did some voice over telling about the rigging that would help. I can understand him not having several people working for him. With just 12.5 K subscribers he don't have the budget for that. I do agree that a helmet cam for some of the shots would help.
@RealJeep
@RealJeep Жыл бұрын
@@harpintn He'll never beat YT's algorithm and get promoted if he doesn't get more come-backs and views. If you can't put together a slick KZbin show like all the other off-road content providers, then you'll wither on the KZbin vine like so many others who have tried.
@harpintn
@harpintn Жыл бұрын
@@RealJeep I realize that he has a tough fight ahead of him in building a channel. I always root for the small guys, that is why I made a couple of suggestions that he can do with a small budget. I hope he succeeds and is able to add on an extra person to help with filming. Even a part time college kid that is studying a related field is going to be hard for him to afford with income from the 12.5K subscribers he has right now. People that are viewing and enjoying his content are the main way his channel will grow now.

Content has to have a beginning, a story and an end. What are you going to do? What are you doing and how are you doing it while there? And, what was the happy ending?
