Or maybe it's because family or friends can have their own agendas and be jealous of your relationship/marriage. You'd be surprised. They might want to relive what they missed out on through you or a friend might take what you have. I'd say I'm fine with my man having family and friends around as long as they aren't in our personal lives and he's not sharing anything too private between me and him with them.

@LibraTee Agreed. I'm not saying that you're always gonna agree with 100% of what somebody says. If you watch the entire podcast, take your personal emotions out of it, and listen objectively... most of what he's saying makes logical sense. A lot of people need to understand that he's not a pastor or a therapist. He's a relationship expert who has hours of content talking to both men and women. He's not here to tell you what you want to hear. He's gonna say what your friends and family are afraid to tell you. And he's not going to sugarcoat it either. That's why a lot of people think he's "harsh" because they're not used to hearing the truth. Self-accountability.

People who can fight don't feel the need to advertise it. People who are wealthy don't feel the need to advertise it in everything they do. People who are truly educated and wise never feel the need to let people know what "degrees" they've earned. Only individuals with insecurities and vanity in their souls advertise. A bit short-sighted, I think. When it comes to Millennials, anyone trying to do something great with their lives other than just living for the weekend and getting laid...we're surrounded by haters who would rather cut you down than be inspired to get up to your level. In my world, you have to advertise yourself in some way or fashion. Even "putting yourself out there" to find a mate is a form of advertisement. You have to prove yourself because others will do their damnest to diminish and slight anyone who stands out...such as Christians who refuse to give into temptation, who choose to worship God instead of money and women.

About 3 years ago I went out on a date with a pretty attractive woman. 5'6, 125, track body. Seemed decent, liked to laugh, and smiled a lot. But then, I asked her, "what would you like in a man". She named 37 things, I counted. I said "ok that sounds fine, what would you do for a man?". She stated "oh, men don't need much, they're easy. I will listen to him, be there for him, of course care, I'm his gf, but yea, men don't need much". 37 to maybe 3. This episode just made me laugh thinking about the list. It's as if ladies make a big list to a perfect man but, at the same time deep down inside know for a fact they'll never get the whole list. Ladies believe they deserve a lot and men don't deserve much. Point being, they really don't think much of men, and the list just kills they're chances of ever mating with someone.

I believe in intentional dating. which means i date with a purpose, to cause a marriage. i believe in a list of the top 5 attributes you want in your wife or husband. If you have a list of more than 10, narrow it down to 5. Ranking the most important attribute as number 1. This really helps you date the right person. My nephew was dating aimlessly and just couldn't meet the right one for him. I invited him to breakfast one morning, and ask him to write down 10 things that is important to him, when dating a woman. He looked at me like I was crazy, but since I was buying, he did it. When finished that, I ask him to select the top 5, out of those 10 that was most important, that outweighed the others. When he finished with the list, I told him to keep it in his pocket, and going forward to date only the women that meet those top 5. My nephew was married within a year.

In Kansas City, the cost of living is lower and $350k is definitely not needed to support 3 kids and a wife. It would be more than comfortable, but not a necessity.
@nbcricketnumber4 жыл бұрын
Great point. To be fair, Kevin had a show discussing the "living comfortable" which takes $50K per person in house hold. Basically 2 family trips each year 1 to 2 weeks in length. Passports needed. Full immersive experience. Top resturaunt. Private schools. College paid for, for each child. Wife not having to work. Ability to shop. Parent vehicles paid for and a car for a child as they hit driving age. Big house with solid savings etc. Basically... think Johnson County Leawood type. To be sure I agree with you sis that it could be done in KC Metro for less ($150-200K 3 to 4 children and parents) but Kevin has a standard that is upper middle class w/o financial stress. That's $300-350K.

Kevin, is great to finally see someone bring these topics to the spotlight, I honestly thought it would take another generation before women started getting this. I think another topic that could should be addressed to women are the dangers of excessive sexual partners and how damaging that can be a woman's ability to bond with a man. Its not something a woman can just turn on. A woman needs to be careful who she shares that with because it weakens with every man she sleeps with and weakens her ability to love a man. For those of you who walk in the faith, you are familiar with the verse: ...and they should become one flesh; that explains why modern women become so broken, constant sexual bonding and breaking they become a broken mess. How can you build something solid with something that is broken?
