Speak the Language - like Primos calls. I had a shirt with that. I like the change of pace FF. The only hunting shows I have seen in PA are turkey and waterfowl. Good point.
@FarmallFanatic23 күн бұрын
Yeah but most guys don't know what the language is... Most around here talk about the spread of the antlers... That's not the language. Once you start getting into age class structure and learning how to age a deer on the hoof, now you're talking the language

If you do see deer hunting in Pennsylvania, it will be a city hunt where they are controlling numbers

In the early 80's deer were more or less extinct in North Central Ohio. Guys used to have hunting camps that paid for in some farm in your part of the state. They said the deer only had leaves to eat and were the size of big dogs. Now I have deer running all over my back yard since everyone feeds them corn and puts out salt blocks. Your better off as a tractor guy than a hunter. Last buck I had mounted cost me 75 dollars about 10 years ago. Ohio more deer are killed by cars than by hunters.

I'd love me some land in Ohio.

I wonder if those bucks are related somewhere down the line, with the split line. Looks like the buck you got was using the same trail for a bit. It's hard when they come out in radom locations.
@FarmallFanatic27 күн бұрын
He used that same trail.. because I allowed it to turn into security for him, and neighbors don't provide that..

I can understand trying to keep decent busks in and around your hunting area but.....trying to get the other hunters in and around that area to be on the same page would be the problem

It's a huge problem to the point you can't do it... Here you basically have to own a thousand acres

I don't know a lot about deer hunting. I just never got into it like a lot of guys. I do know that was a good deer to cull. Poor thing has been limping around for years. There should be quite a few deer over that way. A lot of deer are taken up in northeastern Ohio. Into the thousands. Over this way it's more like in the hundreds, but some big deer are taken around. I know a guy who is deer hunting crazy and bought 88 acres I think. Had 5 cabins built just for people who want to hunt. He did help me kill a deer. The first deer I ever shot. A 5 point buck. It took me 3 years to kill him. I missed 2 does the previous 2 seasons. Deer hunting is alright, I just don't care to sit up in a tree for days on end.

If ur sitting days on end, ur not doing it right

@@FarmallFanatic I agree with you about PA not being a big buck state sans a few areas. But the antler restriction has helped.
