This scene always get me. You have Luke struggling to find that hope that Peyton is going to be OK, and Peyton who is scared that she won't be there for her child and the person that she loves the most. Hilarie and Chad are both great.

So my gf just got me into this show and and I finished this season and rolled right into the next one and kept saying where the hell are Lucas Peyton and sawyer… I’ve kind of petered out watching it but I do love Haley Nathan and Jamie and Brooke is probably my favorite character but Jesus losing your two main characters. Very sad. Also I am aware I’m replying to a decade old comment

@MAGNUSTH3RED24 both actors left season 6 because they weren't offered contracts. It's also well publicized that Mark Shwann, the creator, was kind of an asshole who was predatory towards female cast and would act like a b!tch when they pushed back.

I can't imagine the pain they are both suffering they love their baby they love each other but god they had so much pain on their faces they are such an amazing actors specially lucas's face his voice how scared he is 😍😍😍😍

Lucas is scared and has been since they determined what her condition was. He wanted to abort the baby and save her. He is just reacting emotionally. Although it does hurt me to watch him act like this.

they are both hurting, neither are wrong. Peyton said have faith I will be fine 5 eps ago, but now she is preparing for a death so of course he is hurting and rattled him. In the end both were ok but what if it wasn't. Luke loved the baby but growing up w/o 2 parents (both did) he did not want that.. he didn't want to abort but thought docs were right about the unhealthiness. at the end of the day he could lose both her and the baby. peyton is scared! but She wants her baby! She dosen't care about the odds, but still theirs a big chance that she could die! she just thinks "What if?" and she wants her child to know her if something happens.

@@Izza599 I get that Peyton is scared. I agree with you. That part goes without saying. We get why she is doing what she is doing. My original point was that he has never been great at dealing with his emotions so he is scared and being a dick. Peyton is doing better than him at dealing. He has no real reason to not want to get married. Also, like he says in the video... He has allowed himself to believe that she will be okay so seeing her prepare for the worse (like I would do.) is jarring. Totally doesn't excuse him being a dick though.

Act like what?? He's trying so hard to have hope for Peyton, the love he has for her is so overwhelming. Even in him catching her making that video he's holding by a thread of hope. I think Chad portrayed that great in this scene!

she's scared. She's pregnant and has a condition called placenta previa that means she could start hemoriging during the pregnancy or delivery. and there's a chance she could die. and i loved this episode i about cried at the beginning Peyton is awesome and Hilarie does a great job playing her.

i think lucas is being a bit selfish and mean here.. shes right, you never know what could happen. i mean if i were gonna have a baby and knew there was a chance of me dying, i would do the exact same thing peyton is doing.

He's so protective of her. He loves her enough to be like, no, our love and your pregnancy is a separate occasion. He does come around later on and decide to, but I would react the exact same way Lucas did, he's so scared of losing her

Lucas was right. I mean imagine your girlfriend dying while having your baby. You’re left with a kid and no girlfriend and you have to grow up alone w the kid without his mother. If my girlfriend’s dying i’d rather she abort the baby and die and I can start a new family.

She has a condition called placenta previa which means that there is a chance that she could start hemorrhaging while she's pregnant or while she's in delivery and her and/ or the baby could probably die. So she was making this video just in case she doesn't survive the delivery but the baby does. And when the baby grows up and would see this video the baby could remember Peyton. Luckily of course that doesn't happen and they both survive.

Lucas was being selfish. I get that he’s scared, but he asked Peyton and wanted her to marry her for so long and she wants to get married before she dies just in case and he says no, he also tried to guilt her into having an abortion, Lucas is just like Dan lmao

Lucas is nothing like Dan. He wanted her to abort the baby to save her life, not because he was afraid of commitment or being a father. And he's human and he's terrified that he's going to lose the woman he loves and he's conflicted because he loves and wants this baby, but it's at the cost of gambling with Peyton's life. And he said no to marrying her because of what he walked in on and all that it implies. "Just in case"??? It's like accepting that she's going to die. Anyone would react like Lucas in the moment, in this situation.
