Peyton was SO horrible to Brooke. She screwed around with Lucas behind Brooke's back. How can no one see anything wrong with that? Peyton had her chance with Lucas, BEFORE Brooke and him started dating but SHE messed that up by pushing him away. Brooke asked Peyton, MULTIPLE TIMES, if she was okay with her dating Lucas, and EVERY TIME, Peyton said it was okay. She should have been honest from the beginning. Sure, Brooke would have been hurt, but not as bad as this.

I feel for Brooke. All Brooke has ever really wanted was someone to love her the way she loves others, yet her parents ignore her and don't care about her, she finally found a boy willing to love her back and now she will eventually have to face that she was betrayed not only by her BOYfriend, but also her BEST friend at the same time. Yes Brooke has made her own mistakes, but overall Brooke is probably one of the most wholesome characters out of all of them. She's just been through so much pain and betrayal from her family, from her friends, and from her lovers that she's just so broken. And even more, she puts on this brave face for everyone but you can see the pain in her eyes. The brilliance of Sophia Bush (the actress) is she captures all of that pain when she acts. You feel her emotions, and you feel her pain. And no matter how many times Brooke forgives Peyton and Lucas, this pain, this broken trust will always be there. That doesn't just go away no matter what. I was never a Brucas fan because Brooke deserves so much better than this. But I also wasn't a huge Leyton fan because of how they ended up together. Taking everyone down with them. It sucks that Hilarie is such a beautiful actress because that's the ONLY reason Peyton is remotely likeable from this moment forward. Same with CMM.

Brooke sleeping with Nathan and Peyton kissing Lucas were two very different situations. Brooke and Nathan meant nothing and were both drunk at the time, even though that's not a real excuse. Peyton ruined that for her resulting in Brooke not wanting to get really serious with a guy until Julian came along years later.

mariana Leyton is one of the ships I hate the most. From what they did to her here, and no matter how their fans want to dress it up it will never change that he got into a relationship with Brooke & despite knowing how much she felt for him, Peyton fooled around with him & carried on an emotional relationship with him, and after Brooke forgiving both of them of that horrid behavior and getting back with Lucas who is now in love with her & she with him plus Peyton’s full support of the relationship, basically 2 years later Peyton betrays Brooke all over again then after very little time has elapsed, Peyton & Lucas are presented as soulmates, true loves, and to pour salt in the Brucas fans’ wound, two of the things that belonged to them were just taken & given to Leyton. The first his answer about who is by his side when his dreams come true which he first answered Brooke then they changed it to Peyton & the second, that really pisses me off, was Lucas calling Peyton “pretty girl,” and even though I think it was only one time, it was still the writers being cruel. However, they touted Leyton as their big couple, the true love & soulmate story of the show, the big draw, the couple that ppl. tuned into see but they found out that they were not needed for the show to be watched & after they were gone, no one cared if they were ever coming back so it proved that Leyton weren’t/aren’t the IT couple they believed but Brooke was a great lead while still seeing the relationship, good & bad, between Nathan & Haley was the draw because it was Naley who were the real IT couple of the show.

I'm not making excuses for Lucas and Peyton, since it was definitly wrong - but Lucas had been in love with Keegan for a very long period of time before season 1. That wasn't gonna change after a poor incident at a party, where Peyton freaked - or because he started to get involved with up Brooke. And people claiming they should have stayed away from each other - well, how do you expect to people, where one of them is madly in love with the other, and the other has definite feelings - but one of them is dating the others best friend, to stay away from each other? It was doomed from the start. Peyton in this situation was no angel but you can't compare S1 to S3. In S3, Peyton was bleeding to death and thought she was going to die. It was "a just in case" kiss. The kiss happened cause of circumstances rather than anything else. In S1 Peyton did have her moment of weakness in the motel but later she avoided Lucas. It was Lucas who kept pursue her. Lucas in 1x13 She's great, okay, but she's not you. I've been hiding with Brooke. Peyton didn't fuck up BL, they were already fucked up.

WHAT THE FUCK??? Did you even watch the show?? brooke is literally the most selfless and the best character in OTH. Lucas cheated on her with her best friend,how do you expect brooke to trust on him again and commit to him after he cheated on her!? plus brooke made it VERY CLEAR in early season 3 that if they are gonna be together,it will be non exclusive and they are allowed to see other people. Brooke even asked if he was okay with it and lucas said OKAY. But then again Lucas cheated again, by kissing peyton. How would it feel when you get cheated by the same person twice!??! Brooke was hurt and done for so the best decision was to leave lucas for once and all and thats what she did. a simple sorry or fighting back isnt an excuse for cheating.

And if you are true to your man you get left out in the cold. Poor brooke, i hope that peyton leaves lucas and lucas hookes up with brooke again. Brucas forever! ;)

I can't believe people think Peyton is the bad guy. yes sneaking around behind Brooke's back was horrible BUT it was clear that there was something between Peyton and Lucas so Brooke should have never gone for him in the first place. And don't even get me started on how ridiculous it was of Brooke to get so mad about the library kiss. ohhh your best friend got shot in the leg and thought she was gonna die so she gave your boyfriend, who went to save her and was also her previous lover, a kiss? how horrible. I like Brooke but come on she was selfish in these situations. season 5 Brooke was the best.

+Goofy Girl it was clear. at the party peyton kissed Lucas showing how she really felt and it was clear that Lucas liked peyton. and he wasn't just Brookes boyfriend. he was someone who had a really strong connection with Peyton. she loved him and she thought she was going to die. a shit ton of people would kiss the person they were in love with if they thought they were going to die.
