In this way many nuts can be produced without unnecessary movements and the workpieces do not have to be clamped in the cams all the time! Thank you very much for watching and welcome my friend😉

Great job. I've done something similar but I have 3/4" drive sockets that I didn't have to drill. Well not much for the 1 part. I was still able to use it with my impact gun afterwards.

Hmmm why not just hold the stock with the chuck?

That’s what I was thinking.

take up a task of making 50 such nuts on a manual lathe, then you'll realise

you've probably not spent a lot of time working on a lathe

Cool idea! Very similar to a tool I made many years ago, a double hex-head socket adapter for removing oil drain plugs on Hewland "Mk" series racing gearboxes. 3/4" male hex-head on one side and 17mm male hex-head on the other. Ain't good machines and a little imagination incredible!

I really covet your 'scrap metal' assortment... each time I search for something, I search and search for something in my box(es) and finally find some scrap that sorta works. Your box Always! has the perfect item right on top !! How do you do that ?? ... 😼 ~grin...
