how can snaring decide that street dogs and hunting dogs cannot be caught?

It cannot. These traps are illegal because they will catch and kill any animal, not just target animals.

@@mikeyheltonjr but the smaller hole and the smaller position, maybe the dogs will overcome it or the last chance with corn in a place where there is no path ?

@@arditzajmi340 small pets, i.e. dogs and cats, and even some other smaller game like bobcats and fox that might not be in season are susceptible to a snare. If snares are legal in your area, then there are certain steps that will need to be taken. You usually have to let neighbors and landowners know that you are setting snares. That ensures that if any household pet or other domestic animals are taken, it is still legal. Primitive traps are meant to crush, kill, or incapacitate any animal that happens to fall victim. The snare doesn't have to be around a dogs neck to kill it, a good hold around it's snout will cause serious injury to the dog, if kill it slowly. All traps must be checked every 24 hrs and you must have a small arms and choke stick with you at all times to make sure any animal can be dispatched or released.
