I really like how she doesn't pin the curves to death and just free-hand sews them. I've found pinning curves to death actually makes the seam mor angular between the pins instead of rounded.

I have the first book and have made the sample quilt from it. I just wanted to say that it is easier than it looks and was quite fun. I'm glad to see more tutorials on the ruler!

WOW. I so love the orange and grey quilt you showed at end of video. Those colours are stunning together. Looks like I may have to look for this book. I have the ruler just need the book. Thanks for these video's using the curved ruler.

Well, the book gives me instructions to create two practice blocks. I can tell I'm going to need a lot more practice than that!! The sewing isn't difficult but I might figure out the cutting instructions from the book, but I'd never figure out the squaring up part. The video helps a lot.

I cannot seem to get it, and the whole package was expensive! I've made many blocks, and somewhere along the way, I just can't get it. Experienced quilter.

The more curves you sew the easier it will get and the better they will look...keep going! If you make the free pattern that comes with the ruler you will find yourself more comfortable sewing the curves after you have completed the free runner pattern

I love the curves, bought the Mini QCR template and book. I am a disappointed, however, that the patterns are geared for most fancy 'large machine' quilting backgrounds. It is as if you now have a way to make a 'cute' or 'clever' quilt but want to show off the machine quilting. I don't like that. I am not a 'large machine' quilter. So, I intend to figure out how to simplify backgrounds along with use of the circle; ending with old fashion quilting. I think the cost of the book and template could have served me better.
