Thank you for the reaction! This was with a different singer. This was Tarja Turunen, Nightwish's original singer. This concert was also her last one with Nightwish. Nightwish has had 3 different singers. Sadly some fans tend to say bad things about the other 2 singers just to highlight their favourite one. But just for the future, they all are great, talented, and quite different from each other. No need for comparisons. And Tarja and Floor are friends in real life. Tarja was with Nightwish from the beginning (1996) till 2005. The other band memebers fired her via an open letter after this concert. The whole thing is really messy and the reasons behind it are still a bit unclear. But it's all in the past and everything is okay now. Everyone has moved on (Except for some fans) After that,Tarja started her solo career. She is still touring the world and making music. At the moment she is on a Dark Christmas tour that will end today. Also, I highly recommend checking out some of Tarja's solo work as well. The basist who was singing is Marko Hietala. He also no longer is with Nightwish. Marko left around 2021 to focus on his mental health, and he was tired of how things were handled on the managerial level. Marko has another band called Tarot, where he is the lead vocalist and the bassist. Now Marko is focusing on his solo career, and he will release his 2nd solo album in February. After Tarja was fired from Nightwish, she was not in good terms with any of the Nightwish members. However, in 2017 she met with Marko again in a Finnish metal Christmas tour where they sang together. Marko apologised and they talked things through. Some years later, in 2023 they sang Phantom of the Opera again for the first time after 18 years. Let me say, it was magical. (You can find that performance from KZbin). Then things lead to another and they recorded a new duet together, called Left on Mars (I highly recommed listening to that). This year they toured together quite a bit and next year their joint tour will continue. Now Tarja and Marko are in good terms and are good friends. When you look at those two on stage you can really see that.

This was in 2005 with there 1st singer Tarja Turnunen 1996 - 2005 , there 2nd singer was Anette Olzen 2007 - 2012 , Floor Jansen 2012 - current . FYI 17 years after this in 2022 they did Phantom again with Floor and guest Henk Poort . I hope you find time to check it out .

Hi there and many thanks for the reaction! Regarding pausing, most people will be absolutely fine, as long as after the pause, you re-wind it 5 or 10 seconds (Left arrow on the keyboard), and the let it play again. This way, you don't miss any of the transitions, say your stuff (Which, let's face it, is to be pretty much expected with a reaction video!), and allow the music to keep its flow. This is the first singer, Tarja Turunen. In 2001 she announced that she was leaving the band because she wanted to finish her classical studies in Germany in 2002/03 and then continue working in the classical field. The band managed to persuade her to continue after that, but on her terms. This concert is from 2005 and Tarja is fired in the dressing room immediately afterwards. The band accuses her of turning herself into a diva.
