Everyone just needs to decide what's important to them before relocating or jumping ship from Europe to the US, the pay might be better but cost of living is higher. Calculate and see how much you will be able to save and put away for your future. My husband is European and it's important to us that our kids maintain their cultute and relationships to that part of the family since my family is further away. So America is a no go for now for us, we are happy with our decision 😊

Nanelle there are also people in the US who have never experienced shooting of any sort like myself and next year will be 10 years since i moved here, it all depends on where you live and the dangers associated with it, as the US is really huge. The cheaper than neighborhood the more dangerous it could be and mainly in cities, eg; you can’t compare the safety in east Legon residence to Nima, Nanelle with house comparison it depends on the state, u can get a very house modern house and bigger space all depending on state,zip code and city, unlike Manchester in the UK, there’s nothing fix in the US everything depends that’s the difference

U can never compare America to the uk .. Uk is well balanced Charlie ,iv had the privilege to live in both ,U can never go bankrupt in the uk but you can easily go bankrupt in the USA.. uk supports everyone,housing ,universal credit system ,medical care ,Charlie USA will give you high salary and take it back in one hand , and if you are broke you are fucked .. even to call an ambulance is 2,000 dollars ,you can never ever compare the USA to the uk.. it’s not about receiving the money big in hand ,it’s about its use and the balance in your life

There should be a big disclaimer that this is for those on work Visa either to the UK or US. But the reality when you’re an international student you are better off in the UK than the U.S. one of the biggest advantages is working off campus while being a student health insurance etc. but US has more colleges and universities to pick from but life as an international student can be a bit challenging but you grow through it in the U.S.

Yes, it’s possible to get a nice house in Maryland at $400,000. I live in Howard County which is one of the best counties in Maryland and the US as a whole. Howard County has the best school system in Maryland and 2nd in the US and I bought my 3 bedroom house for $371, 000 so it’s possible. It depends on the size of the house you want and if you want a newly built or not.

A little more on retrogression; it happens and will always happen but don’t let it stop you from going ahead with your plans of relocating to the states. From 2006 - 2010 had up to 10years waiting time for the Rest of the world (ROW) category, so don’t let 18-24 months (current waiting times) stop you. Alternatively, you can opt to go in with an H1B visa if you have a Bachelor’s degree and your employer is willing to sponsor you for one, then you switch unto EB3 later on. And the best part is, both visa’s (H1B and EB3) can also be applied for simultaneously, so don’t let retrogression stop you guys.

@Nanamma23
@Nanamma23 7 ай бұрын
@@nurse_bellinda The solution to that lately is to have it filed together at the same time. So you leave on the H1B, while in the queue for the EB3. Great conversation. I will like to add that perhaps the reason to why there are less people going into the ED in a 24hour span in the US as compared to the UK could be due to Urgent Care facilities. Most people prefer to go to urgent care as they are much faster and less people around plus you are not exposed to so many sicknesses and injuries. No one wants to wait 5hours at the ED when you can be seen in 30minutes at an Urgent Care.

@@jasonwhite8537 You must be joking. What has the UK expats got on American expats in Ghana? Even the UK expats know they got nothing to show off. When we go to Ghana with our UK family and friends, we know who has money and spends money. You don’t even know what you’re saying. My husband has lived in the UK for 14 years and guess what, he’s moving to the US. All his friends there wish there were moving too. I guess you’re enticed by the free housing you get. A country where its people are encouraged to be lazy and you think they rather have more. Come again. Tell me how many millionaire immigrants or businesses owners are in the UK as compared to the US. You cannot pay £60 for a full cart in Asda again. Largely it also depends on what you are buying. I don’t think the lady needs to defend herself much. Nanelle favours UK. You can’t compare the overall nurses welfare and income in UK and US, everyone who knows already know. They have more disposable income, more stable immigration status, better compensation, roads, fashion, weather and social life. Ask a UK born and raised person and they will tell you. Most UK born graduates leave for better lives but Africans who have struggled to get used to the UK will be biased. Yes there have always been guns in the US for decades. People outside always feel it’s worse. I live in London and I don’t see what people who live outside complain about. Mind you the lady is just one year in the USA, don’t compare her to Nannelle’s 6years in the UK, but to a UK married person who newly relocated, then it will be clear

The only each I have with the UK for career progression is that you need to pass all those band 6, band 7 and to apply for ANP. My cousin made her way up to be deputy matron and found a GP in Colchester that will accept to finance her ANP course and for her to work at the same time. Yes , UK systems are good, but you will wait for so long with the banding system to get on the top.

For me, it all depends on your reason for relocating! If you are relatively young and your goal is to earn as much money as you can. Then America is probably a better fit for you. but if you choose to settle down and have a family, especially if you have Blacksands run for your life and relocate to anywhere, but America, LOL

I’m sorry, but no one could pay me to live in America, especially if Trump gets back in in the next election. I have family who have lived there for decades who are now trying to leave and come to the UK or even relocate back to Africa. My best friend who is American is trying every which way to extend her Visa so she can carry on living in the UK. wages are definitely higher, but there is no amount of money that can give you peace of mind. Especially if you have black suns. The fact that children have to practice gundrills in school is horrific to me no country where it’s a constitutional right for people to own arms is an anathema to me. for me, it’s fine to visit but never to stay. And there does seem to be a mass exodus a lot of white middle-class people, leaving America and a lot of black working-class people trying to relocate to African countries.

As someone who has lived in both the UK and US what I will say is in the UK you watch an unhealthy amount of news about the US. It's not perfect but it's also not the way it is in the media. And the way more opportunities I have in the US makes a big difference compared to the UK. The US is 50 times the UK so I can assure you there are many safe areas.

I love the state but my issue is the security. You can run away from knives but not gun shots just like what you said about your brother friend been killed. So this are the fears and raising kids, not know if they are safe in schools. Because of mass shooting of any kind. They almost took out Donald trump and he had security, so imagine a normal person. So yeah Uk has its own flaws but not has great as America 🇺🇸
