I cut off all my hair to do the same thing and suddenly alopecia developed and my hair was never the same which was very very very devastating to say the least and that was back in 2004. I never went completely bald but my hair began to change texture and grow really slowly with hardly any growth and some bald spots around my edges so I kept it cut very low and wear wigs, fast forward today as of about 6 months ago I received prayer at church and my hair has started growing again and so I keep it in plats and am trying new things to help my new growing hair and your video came up in my feed and I made your do grow recipe and now am currently using it and can’t wait to see the results. I thank The Most High for healing me and you for your recipe ❤

@@dawnlovely1594 Wow I cannot imagine how frustrating that must have been. Your hair concerns sound just like mine. I noticed over the years the crown of my hair gets severely itchy, the texture in that area is different (brittle like), and it grows super slow. All of the hair around the area will grow and the hair in the middle of it struggles so badly.

@@shalaywilliams3106 yes and certain areas of my scalp would tingle or my hair would feel sore when combing through it like I could feel every strand and it started off as a bald spot then as time went on it started affecting my whole head, I chopped all my hair off in 2004 I had nice hair but I had a relaxer and I didn’t want it anymore I just wanted a fresh start I was 23 years old and am now 43 so I’ve suffered a long time, but so I cut it all off and it grew back healthy and I was platting it one day and discovered a nickel sized baby smooth bald spot in my hair so I went to the dermatologist and was told that it was traction alopecia and given steroid cream and the hair came back but it didn’t last, my hair would still grow but it started slowly turning brittle and uneven and I got to the place I could no longer hide what was happening to me so I started keeping it cut and wearing wigs full time but I’m here to say that with God all things are possible, I don’t know why it took so long for him to turn around my situation around but I’m very grateful, I still wear wigs and keep my hair in plats but it is starting to grow and I’m working on my edges which is slowly growing I hope that your scalp will be healed also

I love how you've been inspired to move forward with your hair journey. I advise you to create a regimen for yourself too; type 4 is funny, what works for her might not work for you. What you have in common is a regimen, each unique to yourselves. So, find out if you respond well to butters, or grease, or oils. Just take about 8 weeks to discover what your hair needs, and you'll be good to go. For example: When you step into the shower to wash your hair, how soon does your hair get wet? (Porosity test). This will help you know how best to moisturize your hair so that it doesn't dry up easily; and so on. Watching your space for update 😊

How I wish people usually state the obvious, which is relaxing and using relax hair to cover hair attachments damages hair. I had similar hair edges and went natural. This is seven years later, I have better edges, but not as great as before I started relaxing. Across this seven years of being natural, I have come to realise it is great to love our hair the way it is, and pamper it. I am glad one year later, your hair is better.

I cut my hair like 2 weeks before March ended and I have been using this mixture (Jamaican black caster oil, Mega doo grow and virgin hair fertilizer) every other day and let me tell you! There is such a difference in the length and even body of my hair now it can actually be gripped for braids, no more breakage ( I also use Cantu shampoo, conditioner & leave in conditioner) and my bald spots I had from a heavy tight ponytail…. Now it’s like 👀 what bald spots?! 🤣 this is crack for hair you hear me I love it thank you girl 🤍 I can’t wait to reach a year I wish I could insert photos on here cause I’m tell you this is genius

@@tamithecreator My hair is doing it’s thing. Right now at 11 months and a little over 2 weeks, my hair is 4inches when stretched, so it seems I’m a slow grower. I’ve been wearing my head band wig until now but I’m going to start trying some rubber band hairstyles that are easy to do. I’ll be doing it myself though, I’m not too interested in spending hundreds of dollars on stylists. I’ve just using the the LOC/ LOB method with regular water, wild growth hair oil, and the Camille Rose almond jai twisting butter. I like to keep it simple. Problems haven’t solved yet are keeping my hair moisturized for more than a day, hand in hair syndrome & single strand knots. I like the feeling of my hair when it’s 85% dry (ever so slightly damp) but at the end of the day when I go to bed and put on my satin durag and sleep on my silk pillowcase, the next morning I will wake up and my hair is all condensed and dry because it was wrapped up and the moisture still seeped through the fabrics and into my pillow throughout the night. Next thing is I just can’t resist playing with my curls. The only way to stop is if I have something on my head like my durag, but sometimes I just want to let my hair breathe so I take it off, but after a few minutes I realize that a have pulling on my curls not even two seconds after taking the durag off😒. It’s bad because that’s what I think is causing the single strand knots because I’m playing in my hair and tangling it up. Cornrows might help me stop playing in my hair but I don’t have the grip some people have to be doing cornrows. For my thin edges and nape I do think the wild growth hair oil has been growing and thicken them slowly. There is one bald spot in the middle of my forehead that just doesn’t want to grow but I just put some mascara on it a keep it pushing, lol. I have enough hair around it that when my hair grows out I’ll be able to cover it.
@tamithecreator
@tamithecreator Жыл бұрын
4inches is definitely not bad at all. I don’t know the story behind you cutting your hair but if you’re anything like me I’ll take 4 inches of healthy growth vs long damaged hair. I’m happy that you wear headband wigs 💃💃💃 everytime I post a headband wig video I get hate but that wig saved me 😂 As far as the dry hair, what’s your hair type??? My hair doesn’t hold moisture either but I can manage a good 2-3 days with my oil treatment + LCO method. Ive been slacking on keeping my hair moisturized and noticed more breakage than I would like. I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to dryness, I’m still trying to find the solution myself. From what I read, you’re doing the right thing. Cornrows might be a good temporary solution so you can easily moisturize your hair and not touch it as much 😬

@@tamithecreator My hair is 4c. I think curls and coils are the same thing, it’s just that coils are super tight, so that’s why I said curls in the last message. Also since that message I washed my hair and used my products but I didn’t put my durag on when going to bed and guess what my hair wasn’t dry! So I think the durag was the problem, probably wasn’t authentic. I should have known though it was stretchy and the outside of it was kind of velvety. Plus it was a 6 pack that I bought from Amazon for less than $10😂. Regarding the headband wig, I definitely won’t give it up, I don’t like going out in public feeling bald. Your subscribers are just worried that the band will put too much tension on your edges, damaging them farther. My mom was telling me the same thing about wearing them. But as long as we are careful with how we put it on, wear our wig caps, avoid getting our hair in the clips, and take off the wig at the end of the day, it’s fine. Your doings good and making progress, keep it up!
