You should consider bringing that beautiful car to the Woodward Dream Cruise the 3rd weekend in August. May have to be trailered in since it's a long ride but would really fit in!!

She's a beauty. Keep it up. I have a '63 Monza sedan and I drive it as often as I can (alas, no winter driving up here in upstate NY). I'm intrigued by the chrome pieces on the front fenders over the headlights - are those turn signal indicators? Do they operate? I've never seen them on a Corvair - did you add them?

Man that crankcase vent is really chugging, you could direct that into one of the carbs

Yeah that’s how it’s supposed to be but they tried to do a “cold air intake” 😅 I’m replacing the whole engine soon so that should fix everything! Finally the proper air box 😂

I love Corvairs. I have had 3 of them. And I saw the beginning of this video showing a great looking 63 'Vair convertible. But the show was too silly for me to continue watching. Sorry. But I just wanted something more grown up.

😂 well there’s PLENTY of “grown up” stuff on KZbin and especially in the car community. I just try not to take myself too seriously. 🤷🏻‍♂️ we replaced the engine and drive train since this. I may be goofy but it’s BUILT not bought. 😂

Yeah, the paint job was bubbling when I got it. I popped them when they started holding water. Little sandpaper and paint coming 😅

CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING A NICE CAR , AND YOU GAVE ALL THE RIGHT REASONS TO HAVE AN OLDER CARS , NO CATALITIC CONVERTERETC. ETC. EASIER TO WORK ON . AND A CLASSIC TO. and luckily only fools believe they are dangerous at any speed instead of finding out they are still safe . i have wider 60 size tires on mine . have a 63 convertible automatic and a 62 hard top 4 speed both 2 doors . and you won't be sitting for hours to charge it up on electricity . on a trip

mine has dual extractor pipes finned aluminum oil pan, mag rims, custom sunroof, fog lights and i made a center early corvette like center console with gauges . custom metal flake paint it looks blue like yours but turns purplish in different sunlight and i put prism flames on it! people can have their new cars earlies are easier to work on. @@RetroMyrtleBeachGuy

I'm riding a bike for a bit till I can acquire a 2nd gen Corvair to daily aswell. Is there any tips you would recommend?

I would DEFINITELY get together with your local CORSA club and they’ll more than likely help you find a good one and probably even give it a once over! If I could go back in time I would have joined the Corvair Society of America (CORSA) two years ago and gone through the whole process of looking and buying with the club members. Definitely my best but if advice!
