Just a quick, actual proper video for a change for those people that were getting sick of me spamming #shorts 😊
Started training #captainsofcrush about a year ago, and I don’t use them a whole lot. But I have been able to work my way up to the #3 with about 80% consistency in that time. Next goals to crush it with a credit cards set, them maybe certify.

Passing Cc 3 after a year is an absolutely incredible achievement! I read you are climbing and I myself started with grippers in January and can do no. 2 now and am working on 2.5. I have a friend at work who is a climber and he almost pinched No. 2 on the first try, so climbers have an incredibly strong grip from the start when they start with grippers. Personally, I usually do 3X10 with the trainer and warm up, then a few reps with No. 1 and after that three singles on No. 2, when I hold it as long as I can until it starts to open, then I let it go. After that I do so many reps with No. 1.5 and when I miss I help with the other hand to close it to hold it until it starts to open and then release it. run three laps with 1.5 and after that one lap with no. 1 as many as I can handle and the same procedure and finish with T as many as possible. It's the heavy training, sometimes I only do No. 1 and 1.5 and do a lot of reps instead of max strength. Even on rest days, I do 3X10 with the treadmill to keep the muscle working. I run every four days and as long as I increase each time I work according to the routine I run now. No. 3 is a dream limit and we'll see in a few years if you manage it.

Just recently started going to the gym and really interested in grip strength. Seems like a fun "hobby" that will also improve my performance in the gym hopefully. I guess I am just weak since I can't even close my 0.5, but hopefully will get up to single digit soon enough. Just feel like a puny man watching everyone close these 2-3's and here I am struggling with my 0.5 :D

i think caption of crush grips are over hyped and overpriced, most people will find:- GO IRON 80 grippers more practicle, ive got 2 for only £90 on amazon! one for each hand, there made tough out of heavy solid metal, there practicle because their adjustable, most people will never need more than 90kg which is the next size up from mine, there a 3 you can get, 70kg, 80kg & 90kg, they each have 6 adjustments, the 80kg are 25kg, 36kg, 47kg, 58kg, 69kg & 80kg which is more than plenty, i dont see any advantage of only trying to close them and only do one rep, you should be doing 10 to 30 reps in my opinion, and 3 sets a day, everyday, the advantage of the 70kg compared to the 90kg, the jump up to the next adjustment is easier, my forearms are much stronger only after 4 months, ive jumped up 6kg from my previous best in strength which doesn't sound like much bt at 38 your grip strength only deteriorates from now, so aslong as im going up in strength instead of going down its a bonus in my eyes, get them there brilliant!

When you ask for my training routine, are you referring to grip strength or just general training routines?? Grip strength is weird because I only ever really train it indirectly with double overhand deadlifts, and occasionally some fatgripz. Honestly never had to train grippers that much to get the 3 closed. I could get the 2.5 closed right out the packet, and just kept playing around with it until I could get 10 reps. How many times a week do u trian grippers
@IronHandsDan
@IronHandsDan Жыл бұрын
I don’t really train them every week. Maybe fortnightly. I get enough grip work from all the deadlifts and things I do. I just do a few sets at the end of a squat workout usually, whenever my hands are fresh.

What's a credit cards set, it says that in description?
@IronHandsDan
@IronHandsDan Жыл бұрын
All it means is that you have to be able to fir a credit card in between the handles before closing the gripper. You can’t certify on a gripper any other way.

bro your literally using your other hand. your supposed to close them from a deadstop, your using the other hand to close them halfway and then using the momentum to finish the close not a single rep counted.
