I recently shaved mine. I did it for my niece who lost her hair from chemo treatment. She is only 14. I wanted to show her she doesn’t have to be alone. But now I realize how much I can actually walk with her down this journey. Styling tips..talking about how it feels to lose your hair…just being open and honest. It’s been a journey so far and only 1mo in. I miss my hair so much. And I’m not scared to tell her that, to me the open dialogue is the best part. So she knows she doesn’t always have to tough it out and put on a smile. It’s ok to miss her hair. And it’s ok to feel sad about it.

Hello David!, Wow that was fast! So nice!, it means you are very healthy. I actually had 1 hair cut and a few trims in the back. But I think my growth was in a normal speed. They say in average hair grows 1/2 inch per month.

Hi Ava, I hope you get to feel better. Your hair will grow back so beautiful. Sometimes I miss having a shaved head because it was so easy to get ready. I don't know the reason why you did it, but just the fact you took that step says a lot about how strong you are. I used to dye my hair alot when i was younger and it damaged my hair alot so i got a pixie cut and grew it all out to its natural colour. 3 and a half years later i had my natural long hair and decided to treat myself by getting balyage. It went wrong and they dyed my roots even though i didnt want it doing and i feel like my hair is ruined. Im wanting to shave my head and start again but im not sure if it will suit me or not. ive been crying every day because i feel like my hard work of growing natural hair has gone to waste. i apologise for rambling but watching these videos is making me want to shave my head completely! 😭

I just got a haircut and I'm not sure if I like it, my lenght of course wasn't as long as yours. But that's why I know and can imagine how you are feeling. During my shaved head days, I honestly enjoy it a lot. I could do it again. If you decide to do it and need someone to talk about it let me know. If you decide to cure your current hair, is also a valid and possible option. Meanwhile we can have fun with wigs, right?...xo

Me too Tanya! I had to shave mine because ulta bleached the sh$t out of it and it was so damaged to the root. :( I’m too afraid to not wear a hat or wig when I go out so no one sees it. I don’t feel feminine either and makeup hardly helps I also learned I hate my neck and don’t have the skinniest face for this. I only did it to get rid of the damage but I hate it so bad. I just feel gross and my insecurities are so horrible! Extremely self conscious when we go out now even though I try hard to hide my hair when we have too. :( I have one inch of hair all over. Yesss I have a wig too. It’s not human hair unfortunately so it gets really tangled and I have to brush it and I mean BRUSH IT! My hair is that ugly dishwatery brownish color. Between bleaching it since I was 16 and getting sick from my implants, my hair looked horrible. I keep asking my husband if he’s attracted to me and he says yes but I feel like I’m not what he likes (it’s all in my head lol). I’m glad we are in it together!!!

After doing this I learned that it's better to do things that make you happy without asking others for "permission" or opinion, everyone has a point of you and it doesn't have to do with you. I did it only telling my husband. I knew if I tell others they would say no, because it isn't comun for a girl to shave her head. Then when I did it, everyone was very supportive. At the end their opinion doesn't matter.

I understand how you feel. It took me 2 years to do it. I kept thinking about what everyone would think about it. My hair loss started the idea, then I started feeling very interested on donating and helping people with hair loss. Then I started seeing so many girls with a shaved head and I thought they look so beautiful. Specifically Natalie Portman helped me a lot with the whole idea of still looking feminine with this look.

So I did it that afternoon it was abit intrusive, I have thought about it before but everyone has thought about shaving their head one point or another. I dont regret it, I can sleep in on school days, showers take half the time and theres alot less stress revolving hair, not only that it was very empowering for some reason, I got myself a name in school, I'm still getting used to the stares, but I do feel like a badass!

Hello dear Maeda, thank you for watching and leaving me your question. Alright; 1) I did not have consequences. At the beginning I just noticed my scalp was a little dry. But I think it was because I take hot showers. Nothing else. 2) No, hair texture and falling doesn't change when you shave. Because that comes from inside. Your hormones, deficiencies, genes, etc. What it changed is that my hair is shinier and softer. This is normal because it is new hair that hasn't been treated chemically or heated tools.

Did you hair fall after 4/5 months of shaving? My hair is like the one you showed at 1:40-1:50 ish timestamp, it falls a lot, especially when i don't wash it for 3 days even, it starts shedding badly from the 3rd day.

Hello!, my hair keeps falling, in a normal amount. When it was shorter, it was less noticeable, but I know it was happening. Washing it less frequently is good for hair care. If you are starting to see spots with less hair, I recommend you to use a hair growth product in your scalp. Or/and biotin (if you are not allergic to it) I can't take Biotin because it causes me acne.

Hi Jade, thank you for sharing this. I'm not sure what ingredients rebounding involve. But I think, once you shave your hair new hair will grow doesn't matter what you, physically, did to it in the past. If it is thick, it will still grow back thick. I don't think it would be as dry as it is right now, if that dryness comes from the chemical products. I recommend you to use hair oils, and take vitamin Omega 3 and A.

Hello dear, my hair was falling a lot before shaving my head. I was tired of seeing my bald spots, so shaving my head helped to stop seeing long strands fall. Right now it is falling but in a normal amount. The reason your hair is falling usually comes from within. Make sure to eat well, have your vitamins. Biotin is known for helping with hair loss. Maybe you can try it. I can't have it because it gives me acne. So keep an eye on your skin. 💕
