For the perfectionist who say I have ZERO board control do need to board control to have fun skating? Why would I skate just to perfect everything? Can I not skate just to have fun? Am I only allowed to skate to try to go pro? I've also only be skating for a year so I won't be the best skater in existence and I won't be able to land every trick perfect like you robots who think skateboarding is all about landing the trick perfect and with style. Am I not allow to just land a trick and call it a day? I don't like how people are saying that there is a certain way to skate. Because there isn't. I just want to have fun and land tricks. I'm not trying to be the next Nyjah, Chris Joslin, Luan, or anyone like that. I want to have fun and that's a better goal than skating the way everyone wants you to skate so that all your tricks will be perfect. There shouldn't be a way to skate, because remember I haven't lived my whole life skating every minute and every second so I can't be like any of the greats which is why I'm choosing to have fun and land the tricks I want to land. Rather than stick to one trick and take a whole year to perfect it. Don't be salty when I don't land tricks perfect because I'm not the best and I'm not striving to be the best.

EggMan IsPlant I got my first two decks at Zumeiz cause i couldn't find a near by skate shop. You can always order online too if that works.

Jesus you did all this in one year? I can’t even kickflip at a year and I’ve been trying it for 2 straight months! Shows what skating with friends can do👍
@wontonproductions4 жыл бұрын
Will Dingley I never learned any trick skating with friends. I just learned them practicing alone. Also in the friend group i've been skating the longest.
@willdingley41804 жыл бұрын
Wonton Productions that makes it even cooler, how much did you have to skate to get this good every week?
@wontonproductions4 жыл бұрын
Will Dingley well i jsut skate whenever i feel like it lol. But usually like two hours a day or less on average. If i'm trying to learn a new trick it could be 3 hours to 4 hours. Sometimes it doesn't take that long to land new tricks though so i don't have to work too hard on it. i just landed most trick pretty fast so i didn't have to put too much time in. I was just really motivated whenever learning new tricks that probably why i learned them a tiny bit faster.
@mjdvleur24134 жыл бұрын
Once you get your first kickflip it gets so much better, after I landed my first kickflip ( took me 7 month every day at least 1 hour 30 minutes) I could do them every 5 min of trying

I'm very impressed dude. You're going to be one hell of a skater, technically I think you all ready are. Also seeing a board be used for so long makes me remember when I was growing up and I had to save up money to get one lol. Cheers

I started skateboarding 2 weeks ago and watching this video is very encouraging. I have terrible balance when it comes to skateboarding and can't even do an ollie while holding onto a fence. You motivated me to keep going and I plan to have my first kickflip by the summer. Its incredible seeing your confidence on top of the board build up throughout the months and you developing your own signature swagger. Keep fucking going man. Im also going to start filming myself doing tricks so I can improve.

I know I'm kind of late to this party but this was incredibly refreshing to see. I've been skating for over 15 years and something about watching your progression took me right back to when I started skating. I could tell there was a moment where tricks just started to click and seeing that in someone else reignites an old fire. Also you have me jealous with that inward heel. Twas a beauty!

Tips for dropping in Lean in and don't hesitate, you'll fall backwards if u do. Put your feet on top of your bolts, it helps with your balance. Try on a flat, then a mellow bank, then a steeper bank, then a small quarter pipe. Have a friend hold your hands, then one hand, then catch you when you get to the flat, then try on your own. If you get scared, try again later. Practice little tricks or ride around to get more comfortable on the board. Hope this helped

You're doing great, keep up the hard work and perseverance! It's interesting you learned so many flip tricks before a nose stall, and even the inward heel before the heelflip. Just goes to show, you gotta flow with what's natural to you first and it can take you far I learned hospital flips super early because it was a natural mistake I was making on kickflips. So I learned kickflips but I kept the mistake in my head as something i can build from later. Even pros each have tricks in their bag that are uncomfortable to them and easy for others. Looks like your almost ready to bust your first special trick, now that your meter is full bro!
@marcom2483 жыл бұрын
People don’t understand how much determination and persistence it takes to learn all those tricks. If you’re not that motivated and spend only 30 minutes skating like 3 days of the week of course you’re not going to see the same progress. I can tell you had that determination because of all the hours you spent practicing to learn & perfect those tricks. I progressed at the same rate because I was always eager to get into skating when I was a kid so when I finally got my first board I spent almost every day practicing like 6-7 hours.

@antoniofilipe68344 жыл бұрын
Try to press with your back foot a lot faster and with more power. Try not to worry too much with the front foot. It as almost the same function, only to stabilize the board and to raise the back truck.
@jespermassart29374 жыл бұрын
Try to keep your shoulders above your bord, otherwise it wil turn when you land and it’ll slide away... can hurt but get up and do it again. Just keep trying and commit... You’ll land it after a few tries
