The absolute BEST pizza I’ve ever had was at the old Anna’s Pizza, in Revere, MA. It was awesome NY style pizza that I ate every week for damn close to 25 years! Anna’s was owned and operated by a man I knew only as Nathan, but his pizza was fantastic! When I was a kid, we could get a slice of cheese pizza for 25 cents, a whole pie for $2.00, and a glass bottle of Coca Cola for 15 cents. The dough was fresh-made every morning, and the cheese was the stretchiest best! I miss that place almost as much as I miss my grandparents, and the motel that used to be next door to Anna’s, The Castle-Mar Motel (which my grandparents owned until 1972.) It really sucks to get old. Everything you grew up with, and came to love, disappears, never to be seen, or experienced, by your own kids. And that’s just TOO bad-for them.

God I miss good pizza. I've been in the southwest since 2016; SoCal 5 years and now in AZ. SoCal generally sucks for pizza as well, but Chi Chi's was pretty decent as well as slices from Joes Pizza in Santa Monica (gotta get the slices tho...a full fresh pizza tastes totally different and not nearly as good). I'm originally from CT and miss Pepe's and a bunch of other places back there. It's sad when Pizza Hut is better than many local places here in southern AZ/Tucson.
