Both ladies put up a great fight. I would have loved to have seen at least one judo throw. I can imagine Miura could have great success in future fights if she puts a lot of focus (practice) on jabbing. She could win by some small margin, just connecting light strikes.

Xiong is not ruthless. She's my favourite, because she's actually quite a kind fighter, relatively and only fights to the level required; Which can make her appear less exciting. Here she clearly saw that with her takedown defense, Miura had no chance from the start, so she went easy on the Striking and didn't put full weight into it.Ironically, Miura IS a ruthless and callous fighter, who "openly" threatens to break arms and actually goes through with that threat, when she's clearly already won The fight(eg: vs Santos) *Compare this to Angela Lee's face and others, who she considered a legit threat

Teo almost killed Miura and she clearly displayed distraught emotion, despair and agony after the 1st round and we saw that Xiong beat up Tiffany, eve worst. She could have killed Mieura even worse , but chose not to there are other examples, e.g. Xiong vs Santos- where she refused to beat on Santos when she collapsed and called on the ref to end the fight, as he was lettingS Santos take unnecesary punishment; contrast that with Santos vs Miura , the next fight, when Miura broke Santos arm by extendint quickly, despite the tap and referee tryin 2. Get in quickly. *Xiong is not vindictive, obr sadistic like some other fighters

Zwei nahezu gleich 🌟 starke Gegnerinnen mit unterschiedlichen Talenten treffen aufeinander. Man sieht sofort dass Ayaka Miura die stärkere Wrestlerin ist. Xiong Jin Nan die bessere Technikerin aus der Distanz, sehr gut beispielsweise ihre Lo-Kicks. Es war sicherlich ein knapper Punktsieg für sie. ❤🎉

As a former judoka I have to say that without loose clothing judo is really hard to apply. With this skin tight sports wear you are very limited.

Xiong is strong and a smart fighter, and Miura’s boxing is not at an elite level here. To beat Xiong, some gal is gonna have to be either as strong as Xiong, or a real mistress of both striking and grappling techniques.

Judo does not target the face in kumite. Kyokushin karate also does not allow strikes to the face so their faces are not conditioned to bear punches to the face. Thats it.

That's True but its actually not the case here. Miura's handlers, just like with a lot of young female fighters, are confidence tricksters, who showed legitimately no concern about her welfare by putting her in against Xiong. Miura was nearly killed in her last fight, and it was uncomfortable to watch. The uncaring nature of her handlers was shown here, by the fact that the last opponent in that fight has shown to be less powerful than Xiong in striking, so if she got brutalised in the last fight, what did they expect to happen in this 1.The last fight showed that she is not at this level and has no stand-up game whatsoever, so she needs to reinvent herself, or walk away to prevent serious self-harm. She got very lucky because Xiong is 1 of the rare fighters who only fights to the level required to win, which she has demonstrated with a few boring fights, when she could have annihilated opponents e.g. like she did against, but went easy on them because she's not ruthless or bloodthirsty
