Colombia does have young talent like Jhon Durán and Richard Ríos. Anything can happen at a World Cup but I think at the Copa América Colombia proved its tournament play capabilities have improved. Colombia should be able to match its 2014 quarterfinal appearance in 2026. A semifinal appearance or even a loss in the final would be historic.

As a Colombian I have to agree. The “little brother” syndrome is accurate and even though we’re in good form it’s still present. If there’s any team that could benefit from hiring a sports psychologist, it would be Colombia.

why you guys mentioning messi? Messi was not an impact in that final...argentina played better after messi got subbed out because of injury...also Colombia was fatigued in that copa america they had to play the best of conmebol compared to argentina.
