Worthy of mentioning is the Syriac Peshitta which uses the term meaning, “to split, *perforate,* rend” (no lion in the verse). Perforate means pierce. Some blindly assert the Peshitta OT is translated from the Greek LXX, but it's well known it's sourced from an original Hebrew from 2nd century AD, some think older, with the earliest known copy from the 6th or 7th century AD (Codex Ambrosianus). A cursory examination will show it’s definitely not from LXX (I just checked Jeremiah 1.1 and already see evidence against this), in fact the LXX likely comes from an Aramaic/Syriac (Targum) ms, which is what the LXX of Job actually says in the appendix and I’ve seen some places where even the later 2nd or 3rd century official targums of the rabis agree with the LXX against the MT. Several headings of the Peshitta's Psalms date it to the 1st century. Many of the readings of the DSS scroll of Isaiah which differ from the Masoretic text (MT) are supported by the Peshitta which shows evidence of predating even the DSS! Re Jer 16.19 - the context of the entire chapter is about apostate Israel being cut off and expelled from the land to other nations and they are then called Gentiles. Isaiah called them SODOM and GOMORRAH (Isa 1.10). How ironic the apostates are still so lost they don’t even know it’s about THEM!! Thankfully Jeremiah announced the NEW COVENANT and said it would NOT be like the one at Sinai which was broken, for the lost sheep who have ears to hear their Shepherd, but just as the apostates rejected Jeremiah then, so they do still today. And since the Mosaic law was predicated on the Sinai covenant, with the new covenant comes a new law, which Isaiah 2.3 said comes out of Zion, not Sinai, which is the “law of Christ” (1Cor 9.21), the “law of the Spirit of life” and “law of faith” (Rom 3.27, 8.2), the “perfect law of liberty” (Jam 1.25, 2.12).

And we all know that the main purpose of the lucifer Satan's deception is to break the law of God. see 2 Corinthians 11:3, Bible is saying that just like devil deceived the eve to break the law of God, the same way the false Messiah/prophets will deceive the christians to neglect the commandments of the God of Jesus. Good News Translation 📖 I am afraid that your minds will be corrupted and that you will abandon your full and pure devotion to Christ--in the same way that Eve was deceived by the snake's clever lies. (Bible 2 Corinthians 11:3) Aramaic Bible Jesus used to say to his lovers: 📖 Luke 6:46 “Why are you calling me, 'My Lord, my Lord'', and you are not doing whatever I say?

@kolo absolutely 💯 WRONG!! Did Nineveh need your pagan jesus?? No!! What did Hashem say?? Ezekiel 18:27. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive. 28. Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 29. Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of Hashem is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? 30. Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says Hashem. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. 31. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? 32. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that died says Hashem, wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

@kolo you can propagate lies all you want but we all know that Hashem didn't say anything in your pagan writings.. As a matter of fact he says the complete opposite. Deuteronomy 13: 1. And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3. Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for Hashem is testing you, to know whether ye love Hashem with all your heart and with all your soul. 4. Ye shall walk after Hashem and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

The Awaited Prophet Was to Come From Arabia: Deuteronomy 33:1-2 combines references to Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. It speaks of God (i.e. God’s revelation) coming from Sinai, rising from Seir (probably the village of Sa’ir near Jerusalem) and shining forth from Paran. According to Genesis 21:21, the wilderness of Paran was the place where Ishmael settled (i.e. Arabia, specifically Makkah). The Old Testament also tells us that Ishmael dwelt in a place called Paran: "While he (Ishmael) was living in the Desert of Paran, his mother got a wife for him from Egypt." [Genesis 21:21] One of the earliest biographies of the Prophet Muhammad, Tabaqat Ibn Sa’d (d. 845 CE), documents one of the chains of genealogy, which confirms that the Prophet was a direct descendant of Ishmael through his second son Kedar. Hayden’s Bible dictionary states: “Mohammad is said to have been of the Bene-Kedar [sons of Kedar]” [A Bible Dictionary, Hayden Series, edited by Rev. Charles Boutell, p. 386]. In summary we have established that Ishmael and his descendants, specifically Kedar, settled in modern day Western Saudi Arabia.Recall that Isaiah mentions Kedar in conjunction with a ‘Sela’:Isaiah 42:11 “Let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy…“Whilst it’s true that Saudi Arabia represents a wide geographic region, the use of the word ‘Sela’ pinpoints an exact location. The place being spoken of is actually the city of Madinah because ‘Sela’ is the name of a famous mountain in Madinah. Madinah was the city of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) 3:187 (And remember) when ALLAH took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) to make it (the news of the coming of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the religious knowledge) known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it, but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And indeed worst is that which they bought

@Phil Silverman First of all, the Savior is THE God of Israel!!! Messiah is the Lord God Almighty! And why should He return to do that? What kind of weird question is that? That’s was the judgement of God in the first place! Every Christian knows exactly when our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ - Yeshua haMashiach returns! It’s very clear in the Bible. On the Day of the Lord, before the Battle of Armageddon, when the entire world armies are going to surround Israel and wage war on it, and when all of Israel finally shouts, “Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord!” “Baruch Aba B’Shem Adonai!” So, why would He break His own timing and come before? Because you want Him to? Who are you anyways? You are not even His child, and He doesn’t even know you personally. If you don’t wanna read the whole scripture, you will never understand ANYTHING! And then you will never know God personally. You will simply go into eternal fire and be tormented there forever. Your choice! If you don’t wanna be saved, no one‘s gonna impose upon you! Free will is the main principle for God and for Christians. Adon Yeshua is not going to drag you into His Heavenly Kingdom against your will, and neither is any of us. Shalom 👋

In Zechariah 13:6, the JPS version translated it this way, 'And one shall say unto him: 'What are these wounds between thy hands?' Then he shall answer: 'Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.'' The king James Version says it this way, 'And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.' Jesus got these wounds in his hands deliberately in the house of his friends, in the house of Israel. In Isaiah 53 and in Zechariah, there are too many prophesies that agree of Christ's sufferings and Israel is just so stiffnecked. Now God is provoking them to jealousy through us Gentiles; not to reject them, but to compel them to repent. Thank you brothers for your determined persuasive arguments.

ML, read Isaiah 53, again in CONTEXT, starting with chapters 40-54. Hashem (multiple times) identifies the suffering servant as ISRAEL. Isaiah 53:1-9 are the nations speaking (This is confirmed in Isaiah 52:15) Then HaShem is speaking starting at verse 10? Isaiah 53:8, in the Hebrew, it reads, “THEY” (NOT he) So depending on whichever version you use, it should read: “for the transgression of my people (nations/non Jews), THEY (Jews) (not he) were stricken“ (KJV) (think of the Inquisition and Holocaust). The church changed it from “THEY” to “he”. Isaiah 53:10, it reads “GUILT OFFERING”; NOT SIN OFFERING. A sin offering is only for UNintentional sin. Isaiah 53:11, it talks about the KNOWLEDGE of the servant (servant = Israel, as confirmed in Isaiah 40-53). It does NOT say “blood”. Context. Know who is speaking and who is being spoken about. *Also, notice that the word “messiah” is nowhere mentioned in Isaiah 53.

@@user-vm6en5tu3d You know, Dr. Golan has refuted your arguments quite effectively. As a Gentile, I disapprove of the Catholic Church's abuse of Jews. I was born in a Catholic family, raised under Catholic doctrine, but I saw quickly how that religion was nothing but errors. Maybe you won't believe this, but your own God, the Creator, has dealt with me in a profound way. When once I hated Jews, I now have a great love for Israel. I find myself interceding for your Nation and defend Israel as the Chosen of God. If that's not a miracle, then, you tell me what happened? I believe Jesus Christ, that dismissed Jew, the one rejected by his own people, died for me on that cross. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for my sins. I begged his forgiveness, and, guess what? I got a peace that came over me, more than I can describe; and, I discovered a love for Jews that was not natural. His sacrifice changed me. And, that's the message I can give you from my personal experience. The God of Israel, the One and Only God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has received me, and forgiven me. I am one redeemed of the LORD (the Ha-Shem), and I can say so with good conscience. If this makes you jealous, then, God's intent has prevailed. I am a foolish Gentile, and if this provokes you to question your God, then, so be it.

Yes, Bible (Isaiah 60:7) clearly talks about the Islamic Sacrifice and Hajj (pilgrims) passing through the valley of Ba’ca (Makka) in Psalms 84:4-6. And the rising of Final Prophet (Muhammad) of Bible from Medinah, Saudi Arabia (Isaiah 42:11). 📖 Isaiah 60:7 (New American Bible) All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered for you, the rams of Nebaioth shall serve your needs; They will be acceptable offerings on my altar, and I will glorify my glorious house. Genesis 25:13 clearly says that Kedar and Nebaioth are sons of Ishmael. Because God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his firstborn son Ishmael not Isaac. Now we can see that Bible clearly speaks about the Hajj in Mekkha and the rising of the Final prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) of Bible from Medinah, Saudi Arabia. 📖 Psalms 84:4-6 NKJV "Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will still be praising You. Selah Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca (Makka), They make it a spring; The rain also covers it with pools." Pilgrimage (Act of worship done by Prophet Abraham (Alaihissalam) of islam is supported in Bible-indeed prophecy gets fulfils every year. New International Version (NIV) 📖 Isaiah 42:11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements (Western Saudi Arabia) where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela (Medina/Midian) sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops. Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the final messenger of Bible: an Arabian prophet Muhammad ﷺ) will fight idols worshipers to guide them to the True God and bring down a law to be awaited in the isles and who “shall not fail not be discouraged till he have set judgment on earth 🌎.” (Isaiah 42:4) Because the Arabia shall Rejoice by His coming. Moving to Isaiah 42:11, we see that prophecy gives 2 special places; Kedar and Sela: Isaiah 42:11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit; let the inhabitants of Sela sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. The Old Testament scholar Charles Foster also identifies the the "Land of Kedar" with ‘Hedjaz’ which is Western Saudi Arabia including its famous cities of Makkah and Madina. [Charles Foster, The historical geography of Arabia, P. 130] Also,one notices from the Gospel of John 1:21 that the Jews were waiting for the fulfillment of 3 distinct prophecies: The first was the coming of the Christ. The second was the coming of the Elijah. The Third was the coming of the Prophet (Muhammad, an Arabian messenger mentioned in Duetornomy 18:15-22 to fulfill the prophecies of Isaiah 42 (Bible). If anyone wants to research further then I highly recommend “Prophet Muhammad: The Last Messenger In The Bible” by Kais Al Kalby which is easily the best book on this topic. Discussing Jesus with someone recently and how he is the only way. He was talking about how satan, heaven and hell were all metaphors and all sorts of new age beliefs. I told him it all comes down to the belief or rejection of what Jesus said about himself as THE ONLY WAY TO GOD AND ETERNAL LIFE. but I also realized only God can really reveal Jesus to anyone. How he chooses whom to reveal Jesus to is known to God but I believe it must have to do with honesty and desire for God

Isaiah 42:6- I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles (non Jews/christians)." The righteous mission of establishing justice on earth will require special help from GOD, which is conveyed by the figurative words “And will hold Your hand”. Once “GOD holds the hand of anyone”, it is impossible to defeat that person. GOD uses that person as an instrument to wipe out evil and manifest His judgement on evil doers. Isaiah 42:1- Here is my servant (Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) ; he will bring justice (judgement) to the nations. The first section of Isaiah 42, verses 1 - 17, describe a momentous servant in extremely positive terms, one who will be a “light for the Gentiles” (42:6), will “open eyes that are blind” and “free people from darkness” (42:7). This is the righteous servant who will eliminate idolatry and spread justice throughout the world 🌎 .…to open eyes that are blind …release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." [Isaiah 42:7] "I am the LORD; that is my name! I (GOD) will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols." [Isaiah 42:8] Sing to the LORD a new song ( new scriptures with new way to praise GOD), his praise from the ends of the earth… [42:10] Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices where Kedar (second son of Ishmael) lives rejoice Let the people of sela (in Medinah) sing for joy… let them shout from the mountaintops. [42:11] Any sincere person that interprets Isaiah 42 consistently will see that it simply cannot apply to Jesus, regardless of whether one takes it as a reference to his first or second coming. The fact is that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is the only person in history that has fulfilled all of the criteria set out in Isaiah 42.

The translation with "dig through" is absolutely correct. The LXX also understands the Hebrew expression in this way. »kaʾari« stands for »kaʾarim« and must therefore be understood as a kal participle active plural masculine from the root »kur«. Amazing insight! Also in this Psalm we see the "I am a worm (Tola'at) and no man". This crimson worm was where ancient Israel made the red dye for the Temple fabrics, the scarlet yarn and more. It was collected off of trees, dried and crushed into powder. Then the scarlet or crimson dye was made. The Tola'at would also climb up a tree one time to die, but also to give birth to it's offspring. It stuck itself to the tree and died. The spot where it died was stained red, like blood for three days. Then turned as white as snow and fell to the ground like a snow flake. Isaiah 1:18.

As a matter of fact kaaru doesn’t mean anything. In other words, this word kaaru does not exist in the Hebrew language and in order to concoct a word that resembles kaaru, you would not only have to change the letter yod into a vav, but the letter alef would have to be removed altogether. This changing of the word would create the three-letter word karu (כָּרוּ) (dig) which isn't in the text. We can see these men clearly lie to promote their paganistic agenda, something that is a clear abomination to Hashem and his holy word.

@marcusniaz31102 жыл бұрын
There are many problems with their explanation. For example, NO ONE thinks that the original said "They pierced". According to other versions, it actually says כארו/Ka'aru which technically doesn't mean anything in both ancient and modern Hebrew. It may possibly be a lengthened version of the word כרו which means "They dug" with an added א though the Nahal Heber scroll from which this comes from has a shorter style of writing showing that this could not have been added by the scribe. Also, almost none of the early Bible manuscripts contain the writing "they pierced". Only Jerome's Vulgate translated it as "They pierced my hands and my feet". Both Aquila of Sinope and Symmachus who made translations of the Bible way before Jerome's vulgate, did not translate it as ”they pierced my hands and my feet” but "they bound my hands and feet". Jerome later changed back his translation in his Versio juxta Hebraicum to "they bound my hands and my feet"
