Thank you so much for this video. I bought this machine a few years ago but it ended up sitting in a box because I just couldn't get the wireless to stay connected. I can't wait to hook this up with a usb cord and get started again.

You do get one "lifting" tool included in the box and a standard blade, that's it. You can use CanvasWorkspace on-line as well. DesignNCut does cutting, drawing and embossing as well as foil projects. Also for cardstock and non-adhesive paper, use the low tack mat. A lot of bang for your buck without having to kick out over $200.

If you go on line to brother site they have a lot of stuff for this machine including the embroidery tools or the free holding pen market holder ( yes you have to pay for it lol) which is really cool and it can embroid on foil which is super cool.....you really need to check out everything it can do........You also get the software free without the membership costs and its pre loaded with fonts and stuff already......This is a great machine and i have used it for a lot of crafts and its super easy to use.........I think you really need to spend time on what it can do.......also there are videos out as well as you can go to brothers website and download all the updates for free and if you have a problem you can call there support team for free with any problems or concerns regarding the machine........now if you feel comfortable and want to upgrade later then get the scan and cut because the tools for this machine also can be used on the other machines they have as well.......Get this machine if you are on a small budget or just want to learn how to do crafts.......Super machine just love it and when you see the embroidery it can do......you will want to go get it......

m very dissatisfied with the Brother Scan N Cut machine and its accessories. Had I made the effort to research consumer reviews before I purchased my machine, I would NOT have purchased the machine in the first place. As, every review I read did not have positive comments to share. I can't say that I was surprised. For starters, I was not aware that it will not cut out rubber stamps that do not have a solid line around the circumference of the stamp. That is the only reason why I purchased the product. Secondly, I was coerced into purchasing the Enhanced Image Tracing Card by one of Brother's 'Help Center' Associates which ended-up NOT working for me since the machine will not cut my rubber stamps out in the manner in which I need it to. I called the company and was told that "since I did not purchase the card from them, they cannot refund or credit me." How ironic is it that they would penalize me for not purchasing the card from them when they do not sell the card in the first place. I no longer wonder 'why' Brother does not have more retail stores selling their products. Their customer service and product policies fall within the SHAM-RUN boundaries. PLEASE reconsider any purchases of this companies products, especially if you are planning to use the machine to scan and cut your rubber stamps. I learned the hard way!

Thx BUNCHES for your input (I, for one, would most definitely appreciate tutorials, as I learn better by seeing than by reading) I DID get the Brother DC200ULE Design 'n' Cut from Tuesday Morning back in April '19, but went on vacation shortly thereafter so didn't get a chance to play with it. I will say that that version has more items included... an embossing mat plus 1.5 mm embossing stylus & holder, as well as a universal pen holder & stand, and a little spatula. (Wonder if the last 3 characters in the product code made the difference in what was in the box?) By the way, good luck in your endeavors.

Can you use this to cut out sticker I wanted to design some items and use sticker that I could put down and airbrush over the stickers than pull it up to leave a design

If the stickers are on a sheet, I'm sure you can attach to the mat and feed it into the machine. I believe you use the CaptureMat feature.

I have this machine too and i hate it! Because im want to buy digital planner stickers from etsy and print and have the machine kiss cut the stickers but it wont because the file is a pdf instead of a svg cut file do you know how to kiss cut stickers with this machine??

How do you make it cut correctly? Its cutting through my image on one edge and leaveing white edge on the other? How do i realign so it cuts the image correctly?

Change your pressure setting in DesignNCut Manager and move the number on your blade back to a lower number.

@@OneHipSistahDIYcreations I was referring to the OS for the computer itself. 10 does so much more. I held out for a long long time before I finally reinstalled it. Fixed things I had no idea was wrong. haha. Thanks for the video, very informative.
