If I would have known the Sonos is going for $288 vs Echo @ $60.00, I would have skipped the video. I guess price isn't a deciding factor for some people.

I've got both. The Sonos are 2 years old, the echo 4th gen and a week old. Sonos app is better and sound is better. The $100 price differences makes it a choice between budget or qaulity. I put the echo in my office and the sonos in my lounge room. The sonos just sounds better when it comes down to it.

Good video. I got quite a few of Sonos speakers (Playbar, Play:3, Move, Symfonisk Booshelf and lamps). We also have a bunch of Echo Dot Gen 3 and Gen 4 now. So I got the Echo Gen 4 for the office, with the intent to hook it up to the PC as a backup speaker, when I use the Sonos setup for music. I was in all honesty underwhelmed by it's sound quality. Obviously, the pricetag of the Sonos One is quite a bit more. And the Echo has a lot more features. So one really has to pick based on what you want it for. If you just want good sound for music, then a Symfonisk Bookshelf for the same money as the Amazon Echo beats the Echo hands down.

Which would you suggest for Apple Music considering the Echo is $69 and the Sonos is $199? Pretty big price difference. Neither the Echo has Siri built-in, but can't Alexa still easily control your Apple Music if set as the default? Or is it severely limited functionality compared to using Siri to control it?

i have an Echo dot with Apple Music and it gets the job done. there's sometimes where it'll default to Amazon music or play the wrong song by accident but I can tell it to play playlists, albums, artists, and specific songs without a problem. I don't use a Siri smart speaker so I don't know how limited the functionality is compared to that, but the Echo doesn't seem any smarter than Siri on my phone at least if that's helpful.

Alexa Echo 4 would pair with another of its kind and with Alexa Echo SUB, having all these connected trough bluetooth to a tv instead of hdmi is a minimal fuss. My two cents. I hate soundbars.
