Those other tourist traps have black pitmasters but with a white surroundings. First bite you're hooked like a Crack addict it's that good. In Mississippi there are BBQ joint in damn near every gas station and most are damn good, but you see any black near the food or cooking don't waste your money

I live in the Overton Square area and there’s plenty to do in Midtown. See live theatre and live music. A new boutique hotel is being constructed at the Square and AirBnB’s are plentiful. Rent bikes or scooters and ride on the many bike lanes and trails. The Levitt Shell in Overton Park offers free concerts in spring and fall. Visit one of the best zoos in the US at Overton Park. The Concourse (old Sears Tower) is a vertical neighborhood with shops, entertainment, restaurants, retail, living space and more. Broad Avenue Arts District offers boutique shops, craft activities, bars and restaurants.

We've been only to New York so far, but thinking about giving the United States yet another chance as travel destination. :-) As there's a flight to Atlanta from Dusseldorf, a Road Trip throughout the south seems interesting! From a European perspective, those are B-destinations - but with those, you learn more about the country and won't be exposed to German tourists all the time (as in NYC or San Francisco). And I enjoy places with lots of local tourists!
