روى البخاري ومسلم عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: لا تدخلوا على هؤلاء المعذبين إلا أن تكونوا باكين، فإن لم تكونوا باكين فلا تدخلوا عليهم لا يصيبكم ما أصابهم. وكان هذا النهي منه صلى الله عليه وسلم لما مر مع أصحابه بالحجر ديار ثمود في حال توجههم إلى تبوك. وقد ثبت أيضاً أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أمرهم بإلقاء العجين وإهراق الماء الذي استقوه من تلك الأرض؛ إلا ما استقوه من بئر الناقة. It is Narrated by Al Bukhari and Muslim that the prophet PBUH said " Do not enter the dwellings of these tormented people (i.e. the dwellings of Thamud) except that you weep , if you do not weep , then do not enter, such that you are not stricken by what befell them. (i.e. the torment)

We actually encouraged to visit these sites to take the lessons. In chapter Ar-rum verse 42. Quran says: Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.)."

as far a i understood from the hadith of prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) , it is not prohibited to visit al ula.. but prohibited to enter the houses and structures of madaen saleh. hope anyone corrects me if im wrong.

@@shireenbegum9166 I am teaching them english, its just the matter that they are 3 and 5 years old and not that good in understanding english language as they understand Urdu. And there is this nuisance that urdu is dead language and should be removed from the constitution so it would be better to get support from our younger ones to preserve and protect our religion and our culture in every aspect.

@@shireenbegum9166With all due respect, Miss, have you not known the present situation of our country. People of other religions are trying to distract our young ones from Islam. Let me tell you a scenario of my kid's school about a couple of weeks back. On the occasion of inaugural ceremony of ram temple in Ayodhya, school has arranged the special screening and kids have been taken to cities ram temple to offer prayer, which Muslim parents were unaware of. When my kids came back from school they informed me, When I heard this I was shocked. So next day I went to their school and had a thourgh talk with school authorities and made them clear to keep my childrens out of such things. There is an Urdu proverb which states that "Bachche gili mitti ki tarha hote hai unhe jis tarha ke dhanche me dhalo woh bade hoke us hi tarha ka chahra lete hain" Yes I am afraid of Allah's judgement if I fail in any aspect of my parenting my kids would bare the consequences. And one more thing the language we speak in our country is a hybrid version of multiple languages which isn't urdu or hindi. Now I ask you if I am wrong to be worry.
