100% - I'd also add in the other 2 as well. Its about improvements, points saved and if you watch the games - positioning woeful, catching nope, save percentage - poor and another key one - his distribution is woeful, if you want to play that way the keeper has to be capable, he isn't. I'd settle for a shot stopper and catch a cross at the very least.

Interesting you have based your opinion of Aaronson on a sample of 2 games against very poor sides. What about his horror show at Preston? Yes I'm pleased he's worked out the role of 10 is to occasionally pass to our striker but for me I need consistency over 10 games with some strong opposition as well. If we see far less head down running into deadends and more subtle 5yard assits for our brilliant finisher I'll be happy to see him play the season as the 10. If we can bank £15m for Meslier and spend £5m on someone more reliable it would make good business sense. Praying Wober stays and plays LB, desperately need a quality left footed player there

Conor Aaronson was wanted by Bielsa because Connor Galagher knocked Leeds back and Aaronson had the same attributes as Galagher. Orta did the deal for the following season and it was Jesse Marsch who had the benefit of using him, but badly used. Galagher is now a £40m at Athletico Madrid and playing well.

@ yeah agree with that and even though Gallagher and Aaronson play similar Gallagher never went over as much. I know Aaronson has bulked up and is much better but he still spends some time on the deck. He has however proved he’s worth more than we paid for him….

Selling Meslier at the midpoint of the season whilst sitting top is just madness. If we go up, yes we will need a new No.1 but upsetting the flow of the team now is crazy.....unless.....we can bring in a top class keeper which is unlikely in January and in the championship.

Whether to pursue a 10 in January or next summer depends on who is available and will they be an improvement. Aaronson's value in the PL next year is his energy, versatility and fit with Farke, He would be a very good off the bench player with his high energy.

Good keeper, not coming to the Championship to be honest. We missed a trick with 2 solid options in the summer - shocker. Also missed a few Brighton ones on loan that would have done a job.

Mesliers stats may not be the best but he can go for 85mins with nothing to do, so they dont mean anything one way or another , yes i would like a better keeper but I think it would be hard to get a premier class keeper this january .. wait until summer

Aaronson is such a good option from the bench late on pressing. Dan James also but he's consistently delivering within games. I'd love to see us go out and loan a top notch creative option. 2nd half of the season we can't have passengers especially when our nearest rivals are likely to strengthen. Snooze you lose like last season. Must learn from past shortcomings. We know we won't strengthen the GK position. I thought your link to Kellyman of Chelsea is the sort of astute signing we should be looking to make as an option instead of a nailed on starter in the CAM role. Brenden has been good so far this season, but I still believe we need a new no. 10 who is better to unlock the low blocks we are facing almost every game. Brendens work rate and pressing is top, but he lacks the needed skills to be our CAM in my opinion.

Aaronson was top 10 in the EPL in key passes the first few months. Then hit a skid around the WC. Came out of it the last few months in the BL where he was regarded as Union's best player. Thinking long-term you keep Aaronson as your 10 & see him as a better fit in the EPL where they call more fouls & play less aerially. Raise his value. As is he's leading the league's best offense & team while being top 15 in the league in most important offensive stats.

Meslier can go for me, but who do we replace him with because Darlow is gash and we've lost every game he's participated in our goal, the shot stopper we were told he was, hasn't materialized, he's beaten more regularly at his near post than Meslier is. Do we give Cairns a run, I doubt it. We need a replacement Keeper who can secure the backline with confidence, when the defense is breached.... I like Viktor Johanssen and I like Derby's Zetterstrom. Sweden seems to be producing excellent goal keeping talent

Aaronson is OK, but I'd rather play Willy there, which is not his natural position. So I think that says it all. If we get an offer we should take it. We need to work on improving the team when and where we can to take us into the prem with confidence. Let's use the backing we now have.

GD very rarely lies and as we see the league table move into the 2nd half of the season, GD should start to demonstrate itself in a bigger points difference. Cannot see Leeds signing more than maybe one loan. That could change if they decide to sell a player or two. Wober would be a prime candidate, with German/Austrian clubs sniffing around.

He’s cost Leeds a minimum of 9 points Portsmouth , Norwich pen , Sunderland howler , that’s just what I can remember any manager would sell for decent money , never mind his basics of catching a football or eratic stuff he is the weak link .
