Im okay with it. Its not directly to a club that really means anything significant to us. That’s why todays deal has been rushed through and Leeds have basically touted Archie to all interested parties to get a deal done this weekend. Cree May end up going this window but we’d be able to command a price that we want. I feel for Archie because he has literally became our sacrificial lamb. But I believe the 49s will start to invest after July 1st and build us a team to get back to the Promised land

@@pedrinho7 There are limits on what owners can put into clubs, and how they invest, Man City have certainly breached FFP, the crux is when will they receive their punishment and to what extent did that investment skewed the PL in their favour and I 'am certain the PL will be very lenient with them? You can have billions but if your limited to what you can put into the cub then it makes no difference players sales/business sales must balance out any incomings.

There are 2 things we need to keep an eye on PSR and amortisation and payments due to other clubs. We have been out of the championship for 3 years so IMO we are within PSR for the season gone as the PSR is based over a 3 year period (I believe) so this is probably a sale to cover money owed. What would the penalties have been by the way?

It’s good for us if he goes somewhere we will play, so we can develop and get picked up for a big fee next and we can get a decent sell on fee as well. And, good for him. And personally I hope he goes on to fulfil his talent. If we were promoted, we could have kept him, and then sold him for heaps more after he proves it in the prem. Thats how bad it is staying in the championship. But it is what it is.

Conor you looked a bit frazzled by the end of the stream mate, tough one today. Its a bitter pill to swallow, but judging by the timing it was a necessary evil. The reality of him going to a smaller Prem club is he's likely to be sold on again when the big boys come knocking maybe as quickly as next year if he has a good season and there's got to be a sell on clause in there for us. And if this is the sacrifice now to keep the likes of Charlie Crew and the younger Gray in the future through promotion then it wont feel so bad.

This is really worrying. £35m is simply not a lot in the modern game; we wouldn't sell him at anything like this price if we were in the Premier League, so the fact that we are willing to sell him for this now tells us that either (a) the financial situation is *much* worse than is publicly acknowledge or (b) the 49ers do not have great confidence in getting us to the Premier League next season - neither of which is good.

Compare this to other recent transfers: Lavia was £53m after similarly playing just one senior season (and being relegated in that season); Palmer was £40m having made only 13 senior starts; Mitrovic was £50m despite nearing thirty... The only way this makes sense is if we *really* need the money - but that is just very concerning...

Conner you have said everything that I wanted to write about, Brentford are a smart club with a good manager and operate the market, Leeds united have done the exact opposite and we have paid the price, and we now paying another heavy price for failing to get promoted, you cannot simply turn down 35M or whatever for an 18year old and for Archie he will improve, Farke has a terrible reputation for bringing through youth, and developing them he buys ready made players, but the owners will want to cash in when they get the chance! Time the fan base realised where we are at the moment, we need to sell if we want to give Farke money to buy the players he claims to want, but for me personally Farke will not get us promoted next year, and I think in no small way this has not been lost on the management! It just shows you that Cree and Gnonto have not been such hot prospects, like everyone was saying over the last 6 months, and unfortunately they are overvalued and I sense that is what the market is saying about Cree and especially Gnonto. I really do hope now that we have seen some balls from the owners that they have even bigger balls and terminate Bumfluffs contract, now that would benefit the club, and get rid of that waster Darlow, Gelhardt, Dramah, Cresswell, Shacks and especially Meslier. If Bumfluff does not go then don' t be surprised when Joseph decides he's had enough and forces a move elsewhere! Whichever way you suger coat it Bumfluffs performances are well below par for the highest paid player at the club, he scored less than 25 goals in three seasons, and is always injured especially at critical times, that's a stat that no self respecting striker would be proud of! We need the management to grow some gonads and tell him where to get off! By July the 1st we have to find £75M for the dross that we bought last season as an instalment! Keep shining that 90 point trophy folks!
