These videos deserve more views! You're a great teacher, I feel like I actually understand what these knobs do now, I'm not just randomly changing them and hoping for the best :) thanks for the great work!

What I found in the manual and what really lets the Noise-generator shine is the "Sample & Hold"-module (S.H.): Connect a Noise-OUT to the S.H.-module IN and put the "TRIG ON"-switch to the left. Then, choose the "TRIG IN"-source (for example "Keyboard Trigger On"). Now each time the TRIG IN-event occurs (in this example: each time a key is pressed), the current level of the NOISE-input gets sampled and is held and sent to the Output until the next occurrence of the TRIG-IN-event (in this example: until the next key is pressed). With this simple connection, you get a random voltage which stays the same for a controlled amount of time....For example: you could use the S.H. Out of the example to control a Filter. So the Filter has a random Cutoff, which changes with everytime you press a key - but stays the same as long as you press the key. You can make really, really nice stuff with this.

Absolutely, thanks for the post! I feel a bit sad that I didn't spend longer discussing the individual modules for this synth. It's certainly an area I'd like to revisit in the future.

Nice Wrap-Up. So beautiful to be able to understand now this whole tool. You should have done the same wrap-up with the ARP 2600, for all these last buttons.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure why I took a different approach with this one - I probably thought there were too many little points to discuss to leave out whereas with the ARP I really pulled it to pieces!

Are there any significant differences between an EQ and an actual fixed filter bank? Or are the two terms more or less interchangeable? Because here it's labeled as an FFB, but you refer to it as an EQ, is there something I'm missing?
@OneManAndHisSongs

I shouldn't have referred to it as an EQ, but functionally they are very similar. If, for example, I setup a notch filter at 1khz, that would yield the same result as pulling down a parametric EQ centred on 1khz. If you look at the results in a spectrum analyser you'd see the same shape in both cases.
