I’ve been trying to think of ideas for a book set in that period, but I’ve found practically nothing about stuff like the Frateris Templar in the major lore websites. Question 3: Any idea what for are those little shields on Terminator Armor? They're located on the armors torso/part of left hand of the suit(at least in plastic models?), "covering" the area where most humans got a heart. Is it to show heraldry, protect the dude or just for shit and giggles like "Son, heres yet another layer of protection for Your already formidable suit, wear it always above Your heart, coz You know son, Emperor protects :P " ? It’s a heraldry thing, part of the medieval aesthetic. Might have come from the extra plate/target they added to armor for jousting. In game, idk how they explain it.

It is the crux terminatus. It’s rumoured to contain a fragment of the emperor’s armour in it. This is why terminator suits are valued so highly.

The way you use 'ancestor' makes it confusing - 'ancestor' means those who came before, and 'descendant' means those who come after.

Well done Gursh1! Really nice lore video, didn't know that there is some cult that hate and want to counter the Ecclesiarchy. To be more grimdark the dudes gotta be terribly outnumbered and if they fai they're gonna get burned and named herectics :P Question 1 : Do You think that Lucius the Ethernal can be killed and most likely never come back if He's killed by some Necron foot soldier (Warriors, Immortals, Wraiths) - nothing like a Lord as they kinda have personality and they may enjoy killing that sick dude so probably the Lord will turn into Lucius, so yeah send a battalion of those "mindless" Necron foot soldiers and zap his ass out of existence :O Keep the awesome work comming ^^

Your personal thoughts in the epilogue are not very convincing. Sure, leaders desire power - but to what end? The idea that people don't really believe what they believe, but only use such a believe to gain power doesn't make sense when you take into consideration the blind devotion an fanaticism needed to ascertain their goals. Human culture in 40K is not one of rationalism and science, but one of heartfelt religious conviction.

Orks actually can use Necron tech but it's not a question of understanding it. Orks always destroy the vehicles of other races and then restore it to working order with the power of the waagh. Remember, waagh energies pretty much give the Orks free reign over other species technology so long as they've been modified by Ork mecks, hence why you can see them with the war gear of other species. Such is the power of the waagh that it bypasses technical barriers like understanding, the laws of physics, common sense, and reality itself. It's actually the only reason why the Orks have ANY technology to speak of. It just works because the Orks believe it does, therefore it does.

To sum it up quickly, he was this big Ecclesiarchy asshole who got power hungry and tried to replace the Emperor with himself. He did a bunch of bad stuff and then founded the Sisters of Battle as his private Army. This didn't stop until he pissed off literally all the Space Marine Chapters and the Sisters under his command. Then he got beheaded.

Because their origin dates back before the imperial cult, even the imperium. The legions fought at the emperor's side during the great crusade. He walked amongst them. They admire the emperor, he is and will ever be "THE MAN", the greatest leader, their father figure, but not a god to be worshipped. At least that's the case for most chapters.
