The Betrayal at Calth box set is amazing and the game included is pretty damn good as well. GW has been hitting it out of the park with their specialist games and Betrayal at Calth is yet another great entry. The models are fantastic, the production quality is fantastic and the included game is fantastic. If youre a fan of 40k, the Betrayal at Calth box is almost mandatory.

Fair point but complaing almost never got anyone anywhere and warhammer 40k has some complicated shit to read and the majority of it is either ancient Latin sounding or not a real word and unless your fluent in Latin your going to have a hard time with this but you can always just leave the comment section and not complain

The Cath set is great I got 3, two for my Ultramarines and one for my emperors children. For my Ultramarines I am going to add Guilliman, a bunch of terminators, some Spartans, lots of heavy support marines and Invictus Suzerains. Guilliman takes them plus terminators as troops. For my emperors children I am going to get Fulgrim, a sicarian, lots of their special units and assault marines. Btw the cataphractii terminators are awesome and I will buy about twenty more

It's more than worth it. Especially if your starting out in warhammer in general. You can use the models in the box set for 40k.

The betrayal at calth set is well worth the money any day of the week and twice on sundays, the models look cool, the Cataphractii terminators look better up close, even the contemptor looks good it just isn't that poseable. If you want to start a 30K army you can't go wrong with this set....specially as buying all from forgeworld is 4 times the price

And thats not even mentioning that the included game is really well done as well. I hear GW is going to be releasing expansions for the box starting this year which if that is the case, starting a 30k army has never been more accessible to the average 40k player.

$150 here is the USA. Its an excellent value just like the rest of GW's specialist games. Its worth at least getting one box. But I guarantee that if you do pick up one box, you'll probably end up getting a second before its all said and done.

The rumors are that GW will be releasing expansions for the game starting this year featuring new scenarios and legions so Betrayal at Calth is definitely worth getting into just for the game let alone for building a 30k army for the table top wargame proper.

Calth wasn't to exterminate the loyalists, it was meant to get rid of anyone who was too emotional about their "handling" by the ultramarines 50 years earlier! And christ above, some of these things aren't even "facts" Guillimans fleet fought the word bearers? WOW that is so unraveling! Not to talk about that your voice sounds so uninterested by this that it's boring to listen too.

Calth was Horus' attempt to completely remove the Ultramarines from the upcoming conflict that cane to be known as the Horus Heresy. It was a tactically genius move by the Warmaster because he was aware of how powerful Guillaman's Ultramarines were and removing them from being able to have any sort of influence in his war against the Empire would be a major advantage to the Traitor legions.

It's also why, post Heresy, the Ultramarines became the most powerful founding chapter. Because they were so isolated from the conflict they never suffered the losses the other legions did and as a result emerged in the aftermath with far larger numbers of Space Marines.
