Thank you for so thoroughly breaking the mould of 'travel vloggers' in not just showing the beauty the world has to offer, but also the legacy of humanity's treatment of itself. Visiting places that are an uncomfortable reminder of our past is a necessity if we could ever hope to learn from it. My gratitude to you both in being conscious enough of spirit and self in sharing that opportunity with others who would otherwise remain ignorant. 🙇‍♂

Reading the comments, I'm not alone in this. I follow a looot of travel channels and easily yours is the one with most amazing growth in style and nuance. A lot of folks when they get better (and bigger) tend to increase pace, add more more, be more hyper. You guys let the scenes BREATH. It's absolutely beautiful to watch. I'm thrilled every time a new upload pops up on my feed. Tia & Cheveyo, love you guys! ❤️

You kids make my day. Tia cried and l also had tears. War. What a waste! Suffering doesn't stop, the day they end. But then to go on and show that living continues put a smile back on my face. Love your videos and affection for life. Stay safe.

You had me in tears, when you speak about what happened in Laos and the Vietnam War, it’s still heartbreaking to try and understand why and what for, all the wasted lives. It’s not taught enough in schools, maybe if it was we may learn for the future, sadly we don’t

@@aidanmargarson8910yeah I was in Thailand and they have homemade rice whiskey I think it has that in it too if it's not made correctly you can kill you but I took it from strangers while I was in Thailand during the celebration at the temples people were just handing it to me and I took a chance and drank it but yeah that can even happen in the United States where I live there's people that make their own moonshine if it's not made correctly you'll die

Ooh ooh....we haven't seen a Tia for scale in a minute! That was a nice surprise 😂 Your reaction to the museum mirrors my reaction to the war remnants museum in Ho Chi Minh. When you see that level of human suffering, it's impossible not to be moved by it. But when you realise your own country had a hand in it, it makes it hit home even more. ❤

Nice to see you both back on video and traveling! The atrocities comitted in former Indochine are horrendous, every time I visit the sites in either Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos, I am like you both completely devastated how humanity can be so cruel. As a European, I have visited most of the Holocaust sites / former concentration camps and it is just beyond comprehension what we do to eachother for no reason… But also happy to see you both enjoying your first few days in Laos, keep it up, you beautiful spirits!❤

Thank you guys for diving into the history of each place you visit. I’m a history nerd too and love learning about the foundations and scars and redemptions of all these places. I know it’s not easy to see or talk about and as tragic as some of them are, as unfair and undeserving some of their plights have been, the beauty of their courage and commitment to rebuild and overcome shines through the brightest. Thanks for putting that frame in focus.

Lao is really fantastic. First time I went there was 2001 and the road to the monument was a dirt road. It has been growing like crazy. First couple times I rode a motorcycle to the north. Now they have an amazing high speed train. There are so many things to see and do there, From Van Vieng, a crazy backpacker party and adventure town, to the serine Luang Prabang it has so much to offer for both tourists and adventure travelers alike. Slow travel it and you will come across some of the most under rated experiences in SE Asia. PS beer Lao rocks. Stick to beer though because of some concerns about other alcoholic drinks.

Just want to thank you both for showing that travel, while fun and exciting can be a learning experience. Having seen the war museums in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minn city, Dacau, Shindlers Factory in Krakow, the Burma Rail etc, it is a stark reminder that we live in a juxtaposed beautiful and awful world. Just one thing it is not 'because of you' it was your government, and like my government does questionable things and has questionable ethics. You are both wonderful young people and this is a gem of a vlog channel.

My wife and I spent a week in Veintiane about a decade ago. Glad to see it really hasn't changed that much. Most chill country in South East Asia by far. Everyone super polite and relaxed. No-one hassles you to buy fake sunglasses or watches. And the food was brilliant. When we went, the fun fair (with bumper cars etc) wasn't there, but the night markets were -although they had red tents instead of white, which were much prettier at night. We also did that same boardwalk (with tai-chi classes) climbed the arch monument and visited the amputee hospital. And felt just as moved, as Australia worked with the US in that war. Did you watch the doco with the Aussie bloke still finding and defusing landmines? It was so lovely to revisit this great country, and to see it through fresh eyes with you. Safe travels

Once again, a beautifully, and sensitively, put together piece of work. My country Australia was also involved in the illegal Vietnam War (which the Vietnamese, and Laotians I presume, call The American War) and are therefore also responsible for all the unexploded ordnance in Laos. It was also illegal to bomb Laos and Cambodia, but Nixon and Kissinger went ahead secretly until caught out by the media.
