I got this one day one. Did not experienced any buggy issues the first week. I have the matte black glass, and no noticable scratches yet. No camera lag or fingerprint unlock lag even with face unlock enabled. In fact, this is the very first time I'm hearing of these issues. Can't speak much on the lens flare. I've taken photos, and even though I haven't seen the lens flare, I don't take much photos, so it may be true. The only things I dislike about the phone is the speaker system, and the slight uneveness of the display borders like he explained. This is not to be confused with the actual display which is beautiful and color accurate. Besides that this phone is awesome. Highly recommend

I had the same problem with apps freezing and crashing and the phone restarting. The update reduced it, but it still happens. Other than that, it is an amazing phone and I’m happy I got it.

I'm kind of worried about upgrading from my OP1 because it has always had annoying bugs ever since I got it years ago. I may have only spent $350 on it, but my overall experience has been pretty unsatisfying. Even after all the OS updates there are still lingering issues. The fact that OP is still struggling in this area after all this time leaves me pretty hesitant to upgrade to the 6.

Weird, I didn't have the issues you listed. It's been pretty good for me from the get go. I got it at launch. My main issue was not being use to the fingerprint sensor on the back, as I would hit it on accident whenever picking it up.

Hi mr. +HardwareCanucks. I would like to ask You a question because I had the same problem with 5T and OP 6 :(. I started to hear on 5T a buzzing/electronic noise that comes from the earpiece. I have found that You can hear this sound through the back panel as well, especially when the WIFI is turned on. I have reached a point where they had to refund the price of the 5T. After some research (one of them being Your OP6 review), I have decided to buy OP6 over LG G7 or Mate 10 Pro. But I have found that OP6 does this buzzing/electronic sound as well. :( The best way to hear it is to be in a quiet room (at night) and have the WIFI turned on. It's not so clear at OP6 (maybe due to the glass back and smaller grill at top), but it is still annoying, especially in phone calls. :( So, my questions for You is: do You hear this sound as well? Are there other flagships or lower phones that make some kind of sound? I know there are electronics inside and they might make a noise, but when this noise is so loud that You can hear it when You speak to another person during phone calls, I think it starts to matter :( I hope I will not ruin Your experience with 5T or 6 if You do hear the sound :( What is your take on this?

Good and honest review, and liked how you pointed out all the pros and cons as well as the functionality issues and glitches you had. Luckily, I didn't experience all those issues on my unit, so my guessing is you may have gotten a faulty device out of the box, as apparently those type of issues were not commonly reported by many users or other reviewers. You mentioned the software worked horribly out of the box which in my opinion might be the proof of that. I think maybe you should have just returned the unit straight away and get it replaced because, as it may have ruined your overall experience with the phone for good. Otherwise, I liked your review, and as a (happy) owner of the OnePlus 6, I can definitely tell you have done justice to the OnePlus 6 just as much as it was deserved. Cheers!

I'm rocking a OnePlus 2 still. I remember the moment I revived my Invite for a sandstone black 64GB 2. I was so hyped. I probably should upgrade but my 2 is in perfect condition from replacing the screen and the metal frame recently. I kinda like the 5 the best because it has a font facing fingerprint scanner. I am bringing my OnePlus along with my S6 edge (just as a camera because that android version sucks and the edge is more annoying than useful) to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The OnePlus 2 is kinda now just feeling a bit slower in day to day tasks. I really don't have the money to upgrade at the moment so maybe I should just wait for the 6t.

there is also another solution for the slight delay u mentioned. disable the unlock sound! :) thats what i did. but the face unlock is pretty scary because my family always just take my phone ,point to my face and boom they are in... but it is just so convenient that i dont even need to find the fingerprint sensor although it is already at the prefect position for my finger.

thing is: the OP6 always played the price/benefit card. But that joker card does not hold up, when better products, that are more expensive, drop in price while the one plus doenst. the s9 dropped nearly by half its price since release and the op6 is just ~35 bucks cheaper compared to its release and the 6t is already here.
