@@madanlalchoudhary6023 No dude, I played 2 seasons on balanced and extreme with AA on. No lag and heat. Even while recording. But if you crank up everything to highest like HDR + extreme (including the recording resolution to 2k) it heats up a bit. Otherwise, it works like a charm.

I think snapdragon 865 and 855+ are quite similar but 7T has lesser animation than 8pro

I'm pretty sure the differences are actually network based- there are reports of 8pro users having slightly unsteady network issues. A great way to see this is Angry Birds. On the 8pro it got the game loaded faster but 8pro got stuck on the "connecting" screen while the 7T was slow for the loading but blew past the 8pro on connection. The 865 should be notably faster than the 855+, and with faster ram and UFS 3.0 storage its network that's hurting the 8pro

OnePlus has something called ram boost, Which I don't know if you have it turned on. If its turned on, the phone that has more usage time will boot apps faster. Since ram boost loads apps that you use most frequently faster.

Performance is almost same, as the clock speeds don't vary much. The only difference is in the architecture, which causes the 865 to give slightly more performance than 855+ but with 25% less power consumption. We can do same with 865 too, we increase it's clock speed for even more performance ata cost of more power consumption.

Ok so after going back and forth with whether I should jump from the 7T to the 8 pro, this video pretty much solidified my decision not to do so right now. It makes sense that while the 7T has been out longer, it operates more consistently since the software updates blazing up its software optimization. So, this case, 8 pro can wait. Especially for the daggone price to come down.

I am using 7T. I am satisfied. I have a complaint in oxygen ui is display brightness. I will set brightness level@30% as minimum ( approx), but system auto brightness will go to 10% . So, I am frequently adjusting it. Before OnePlus I am a Sony Xperia user. In Xperia P, Z2, &Z3 I used this feature.

OP 8 Pro has really premium features but actually 7T has optimized software through 6-7 months + with half the price. I think the rule of thumb for buying a phone is just to buy one of last years flagships. Being the first one to buy a new phone is risky + expensive.

Software optimization is the key here. Most of the games are better optimized for 855+ compared to 865 as 855+ is an older chip. Wait for few months and see the performance difference.👍

What percentage faster is the SD865 over the SD855+? Cause I wouldn't be surprised if the damn chip is probably nearly the same. And I wouldn't even bring up geek bench numbers or antutu. Who knows if they get paid off to manipulate the numbers.
