I just received my 9 4 days ago and I love it. I loved my 7 Pro but needed 5G (because reasons), so I bought a renewed 8 5G. Although it was a good phone, I like the flat screen vs the curved so I bought a brand new 9 5G. So far I love it for the speed, battery life, fast charging and wireless charging. I didn't want to spent the extra $300 and so far I'm happy with my decision.

today phones are on so high level that comparing to each other makes already no sense, wich is 2 millisecond slower and smt like that.... even the processors are great today on cheap phones. i think in camera they really have some improvement and we can't deny, plus its always very cool to have some premium brand name on your phone.

Really well made review! I was aiming towards the 9, but those last photos comparing the lenses, might go for the pro model. Also sad that they included the monochrome lens instead of telephoto in the non pro version. I am a bit afraid tho that 9 Pro might be too big for me. I have tiny hands and want a flat screen.. Afraid of all these missclicks I might have to deal with. Upgrading from Oneplus 5

They've added software to stop accidental touches however this apparently affects the keyboard when typing. The OnePlus 9 pro would probably be far too big for u. I have the 7t and have quite big hands and I still struggle when holding it.

You might consider buying the standard Galaxy S21 (not the S21+) if you want a smaller phone. It has a screen size of 6.2 inches which you might like better than the 6.6 and 6.7 inches of the One Plus 9 models

Need to watch a lot of reviews before I decide. If I go for S21 I feel like I will miss Oneplus functions, such as alert slider and warp charging.. Maybe I will get used to a bigger screen. @@yellit1975 really comes down to personal choice. Short answer, no those features aren't "needed". I've been using the Motorola moto Z phones for years now. While I know they don't compare to the new phones out, it does everything I need it to and the mods you can attach are great. I love my phone but with that being said, it's time for an upgrade and since the moto Z line is dead I might get this 1+ mainly for the great macro pictures.

@@yellit1975 Depends on you bro. But personally I'm not a big fan of the Pixel series because of its lack of features and quality. I work as a phone tester part time so I've got a better idea than most people of what I'm talking about. Their durability is pathetic. You've got to handle Pixel phones with care cuz they tend to break or bend easily. The display quality of the Pixel phones is average by today's standards. The pixel 4a maxes out at 1080 X 2340 resolution (which is lower than almost all mid-range phones today) Plus the battery life of pixel phones is extremely lacking. The pixel 4a has a 3100 mAh battery, which when I was testing it gave about 4 and a half hours of full screen on time compared to around 7 hours for other android flagships. The speakers on pixel phones are good but not great, like of all android flagships. Pixel 4a also doesn't support wireless charging. But this was just about the build and exterior hardware of the phone. Let's come to user experience and performance. The Pixel 4a doesn't even have a 90 Hz display, let alone a 120 Hz, which let me tell you makes a big difference in how you feel the phone once you've used it. Most people say that 120 Hz isn't a big deal for them cuz they've NEVER used it. Once you've used a 120 Hz phone for a week or two, it's difficult (I'm not saying it's impossible... but it's difficult) to adjust back to a slow 60 Hz phone. Heck even 90 Hz is better than 60 Hz (though not by alot... but 120 Hz is much better) And the Pixel 4a has a Snapdragon 730 processor, which is slow and old compared to Snapdragon 888 and 865 flagships today. You really would not want to use a Pixel 4a or Pixel 5 phone if you were a power user and did things like video rendering etc. on your phone which would take ages for the Snapdragon 730 processor to complete. I'll say again. The pixel 4a is a good phone for its price but you can only consider it mid-range material. Heck most mid-range phones today are better than the pixel 4a and cost less than it. The only department where the Pixel 4a stands out is the camera department which is flagship material. Granted it doesn't have telepoto lens and large zoom capabilities and cannot record 4k 60 (It maxes out at 4k 30). But for simple, normal photos, its camera does a great and fantastic job which is equal to today's flagship phones.

its the oneplus 9 pro. this is the whole point i feel like that oneplus did with this phone, which is to get the camera to shoot more raw, real colored pictures, and which i think they nailed. Hey, i wanted to give OP a try but.. i heard about this issue can you maybe confirm this issue, which GSMarena described: "While the 8 Pro display can get pitch black, the 9 Pro display can only get a dark shade of gray. This isn't noticeable in normal ambient lighting but is quite obvious when watching in a perfectly dark room and while watching content with a lot of dark scenes in it. This issue only pertains to HDR playback and not present in SDR mode."

The missed touches at the edge of the phone may not be the fault of the thicker screen protector. Other KZbinrs have reported that OnePlus has extra palm rejection and accidental touch software baked in, and many are having issues with Gboard and touches not being recognized at the edges.

It is a pity the One Plus 9 ( £629) has no Optical Image Stabilization and yet the much cheaper Samsung A52 5G ( £400) has OIS as standard. The lack of OIS may affects the images taken especially in low light and can be a deal breaker for some people. How much more does OIS cost I wonder. I am interested in the One Plus 9 but the lack of OIS makes me think twice. Could you compare the images taken with One Plus 9 and with the ones taken with Samsung Galaxy A52 ?

Also thanks for mentioning the price discrepancy between the OP9 pro and the S21 ultra - as most other KZbinrs seem to forget its a sizeable difference when comparing the cameras, even the iPhone 12 pro costs considerably more. I think, for the the price of the OP9 pro, the camera being so close to the other 2 phones mentioned makes it a pretty good deal!

So where do i get an S21 Ultra with the 888 in Europe? I expected quite a lot more from the 9 Pro. Where is the 30x+ zoom? What are we supposed to do with a 2mpx monochrome sensor? That's crap. Even the color tuning of the camera is worse than the 8 Pro apparently. I don't want it to be as neutral as possible. I want great memorable photos without having to edit everything manually. The skin tones are nice though. Last Hope: ZTE Axon 30 Pro - supposedly with triple 64mpx cameras. Maybe that'll have a decent zoom.
