Just to clarify, iphone Dynamic Island refers to notifications that come from the pill cutout. Live Activities are persistent notifications on the lock screen that update in real time. Some things (such as timers or music) will show in both, but they're not the same thing. Live activities is for stuff like following football scores, tracking food deliveries, and stuff like that in real time without unlocking your phone. I still haven't seen anything like that on Android yet... though they are saying OneUI7 might have something like that. We'll see.

OxygenOS 15 can do both. Dynamic Island + Love Activities. Even OxygenOS 14 had this feature, but only for an Delivery App called Zomato (Available in India, and UAE)

Live activites on android is implemented way all years ago they implemented in widget style on notification lock screen when u swipe down the notification panel on iOS it is stacked on the lock screen that's why it appear first

But does OnePlus still have the delay issue when immediately switching between apps like KZbin and a browser like Chrome or Firefox? When you immediately switch between them through multitasking and immediately try scrolling on the switched app, is there a delay? Or the delay when you’re on your Home Screen then you swipe the app drawer up then immediately swipe it back down then immediately try to move to the left/right? After swiping the app drawer up then immediately down, when you try to immediately move to the right/left page, there’s a delay/lag, and moving to the right/left still takes an extra swipe. These were issues with the OP12 and 12r. I’m curious if they fixed them.

I just switched from OnePlus 7T Pro MacLaren to a 12R and the UI is so weird! It used to be simple elegance, now it's just stuff I don't want shoved down my throat especially the Control Centre, it's terrible. I don't want 2 big 11 small forced, I hate the new brightness slider with a seething passion. I want to be able to click where I want the brightness and I don't want it at the top of the screen. Who thought of these ideas? It's all so unfriendly to the user. Are they Android limitations or OnePlus laziness? Hate my new phone, wish the UI was more like Oxygen 12. I feel like I've settled...

I'm using 11R. Still fearing to update since the August Update that was disastrous. Many 10 Series and even the newer 11R got motherboard issues. What to do? P.S. I'm super happy with the last update that I did, probably in June or July. It's still buttery smooth. Haven't updated since then. Any precautions? Or should I update? You probably now, that in OS14 where you use oneplus launcher and want to use a custom pack of icons, you can apply that custom pack but when you want to edit an icon the launcher only show a limited number of icons from that custom pack and not the all pack
