This one has AV1 hardware decoder, it is a must have feature on an entertainment device. KZbin, Netflix, Twitch, Reels already moved to AV1 codec. One more thing others like iPad and Galaxy Tab S don't have. Thank you Flossy for this great review.

the free folio case, better screen, and faster chip among other things put this ahead of the pixel tablet in my head. charging dock is cool but when I use a tablet, I like to prop it up, watch videos and read articles. great review Floss, my pad gets delivered next week

Tablet is weak. They could've done way better. Just make it 600$ and put everything on it. Head Phone Jack, SD card slot, NFC, Always on display, 16gb ddr5 ram, USB4 or USB 3.2- ufs storage speed high. Bezzelless, 4K OLED 165 HZ REFRESH. SMH..

Appreciate the video man. Just ordered the OnePlus Pad and got the magnetic keyboard, and OnePlus stylus for $462 with tax and shipping. Got it on sale and stacked 5% off with Capital One. I'm a Techie but this will be my first tablet. Apparently it can screen mirror from your OP phone which is pretty dope. Also like that it doesn't need a data plan since it can use your OnePlus phone as a hotspot too. I'd prefer an OLED panel but for the money it's hard to turn down. My OnePlus 12 should arrive around the same time. I'm stoked bro.

Surprised Google hasn't managed to figure out that when you attach a physical keyboard, you don't want the on screen keyboard to pop up. I know you can use null keyboard, but you shouldn't have to.

They nailed the price on this, the processors power is somewhere in between the 8 Gen 1 and 8+ Gen 1. I was thinking of getting one, but Asus is going to release the ROG Ally, and there's rumors that it'll only be $700. I know they're not competing with each other, but I've been looking for a handheld with more power than the Steam Deck and thought it was going to take longer 😅

Nice pad but one major flaw for me, no integrated stand. At home I am too used to the Yoga Tab by Lenovo. Also 13inch would be nice. Price spot for a media consumption tablet should be around 300. This tablet probably does more than that so the price is justified. Nice tablet though.

I've had the Oneplus Pad for a few days now and also use an iPad gen9 and a Samsung S6 lite. The Oneplus Pad is worlds, if not dimensions, better than the other devices I use. It starts with the speed and ends with the display. I would never again want a tablet that doesn't have a 7:5 screen ratio. As soon as you want to use a tablet productively, you can forget about 16:9 or 16:10 in my opinion.

LCDs are mostly known for for their speed and OLEDs are known for their color reproduction. In this case the One plus screen refresh performs at 144Hz while the Galaxy's refresh rate is probably 120Hz.

Best depends upon your needs. See -- when a tablet approaches the price of a solid PC laptop, I'm not so excited. I picked up an 11 inch Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet, a clear rubber case, and a vinyl cover plus keyboard situation -- all for about $320ish. There was a hidden cost in that it wasn't really a Global Rom but a Chinese tablet converted to Global, where they admit Netflix and some banking apps won't work. I would never do banking on this thing in the first place but the Netlfix thing was a bummer because one of the key purposes of this tablet is as a kitchen TV while I do dishes or cook. But I bit the bullet and tried the world of side loading apps. The Netflix works for the most part but sometimes you have to wait for an update. Still I can live without Netflix. I'm not a gamer or an artist and so this was quite the steal. I'd advise friends to wait to see if the Xiaomi Pad 6 will have an actual global rom.
