@@OneStopCoopShop I also really enjoy the bonefire mechanics that simulate really well the video game. With traps, special locations, invasions, and more of each type of cards, the game is really fun. Never twice the same!

Nice review, Mike! I sold my copy of this not because I didn't like it overall, I just didn't like it for solo. For me, it plays better coop and I just wasn't playing it enough that way to make it worth keeping. But there are some fun mechanics in it and it's a shame I couldn't find more people who enjoyed it as much as I did.

Like I said in the review, I like coop and solo for different reasons. Solo loses 90% of the tactical play

I’m loving it. I have the hidden paths expansion. The other is sold out everywhere. My biggest issue with the game is the set up and clean up

I checked my normal places (board game oracle, BGG sales, ebay), and yeah, there is NOTHING. Looks like this one is almost impossible to find at this point, sorry!

Thing that should be noted is that you can find this relatively cheap, and at some of them prices i would grab this game, i enjoyed it but i did have the expansions as well.

Definitely. One of the two expansions is tough to find, but you can get the base game and the other expansion for maybe $50. That's what I did.

I will say, when I played the Board game, i was a bit cold to it. amounts to buy things seemed odd, the random nature of items seemed meh. But after I sat with a mate and he went through the rules, I warmed up to a bit. It isn't the best of game but I feel it certainly was better aftra game or two.

I absolutely COULD NOT play the bg without house rules.

I figure when I try it I'll at the least use the official variant for double souls and half sparks to cut down the grinding.

We have two published (salvation road and dark dealings) and numerous others at various stages of design. That’s how I got into this whole gig. Peter and I started the podcast to review and discuss games from the perspective of being designers ourselves.
