Nice looking tent and stove setup. So much more room than the old one. Those ice anchors work well to secure the tent down. Storm looked like he was anxious to get inside. You're right, Doug. When a manufacture says it'll sleep 6 it would certainly be better with just 2. Most RVs are advertised the same way (will sleep X, Y, Z # of people) but can you imagine being inside on a stormy day with 6 people? No fun in my books. Certainly this tent will be very comfortable with two or three. Looks great!
@PinetreeLine9 ай бұрын
It’s crazy how they rate tents Craig but it’s like they envision people sleep right next to each other 😂. I wanted a a tent with size so I can have a cot in there along with the stove and be comfortable. Appreciate you watching Brother!! 👍🏻👊🏻

Hi Doug. That is a nice size tent. But like you said, it's a little more work to set up. But the extra work is worth it for the added room. Take care brother.

Those ice stakes sure did a good job, never seen anything like them before in the UK and for a solid ground they sure looked the business. Looked tough putting it up on your own, especially if there was a wind blowing but a 6 man tent you would have some help and it will be interesting to see how you get on when you do a proper hot tent camp, cheers Alan
@PinetreeLine9 ай бұрын
Thanks Alan. I’m going to try a better way to put it up myself moving forward. These ice stakes are specifically for ice fishing tents which you guys wouldn’t need over there. Sure appreciate you watching Brother!! 👊🏻👍🏻🤘🏻

Great preview of this tent. I was debating between this one and the Northgaze. I chose the Northgaze because of the canvas but this looks like it's a bit more accessible due to the 2nd door. I have to agree the stakes that come with it are terrible for frozen ground.
@PinetreeLine9 ай бұрын
Thanks Anndy! The stakes are crap but the craftsmanship looks really good and I’m excited to try it out. Appreciate you watching Brother! 👊🏻👍🏻

How's she goin'? Doug this tent looks to be a good shelter. Having the stove pipe opening and vents at least make it look like it will handle a stove with no issues. Pretty tricky setting up but doing it alone makes it more difficult I'd say!! A tent that size you may not be alone that often. Thanks for this review and I'm looking forward to seeing it in use with the stove and all! Thanks for this and take 'er easy!!

Thanks so much Mike! I plan on setting it up differently next time around pegging both doors before putting the pole up. I think that will make it easier when alone. Appreciate you watching Brother! 👍🏻👊🏻

Nice setup. I have been wanting to set my 5 man bell tent up but been busy with quad repairs and getting ready for the maple season. I have a few hot tents and stoves and still flip flop between them all depending on weather and conditions. Have fun.

If you use 4 pegs, put in 2 by door then 2 at rear of tipi making a parallel line oblong, then you can put in the pole with tension in the tipi to keep it in place, then finish off the other peg points. My lux had a twin line to see the oblong made with 4 pegs. Hope this makes sense.
@PinetreeLine9 ай бұрын
It absolutely makes sense and it’s a great idea to make it much easier to put up alone. I will give it a go next time out. Appreciate your input Brother! 👍🏻👊🏻

Great looking tent Doug, certainly is big. Looks hard to set up if you are alone. Never slept in a tent in winter but suspect it would be warm with your stove. Nice stove by the way. Have a great day buddy and nice to see storm.

Great demo and set up test D! My only issue with cone shape tents is head room. Great option though because we all know how much them trapper hot tents cost! Thanks for sharing this Brother! #keepitburning
@PinetreeLine9 ай бұрын
Thanks B! I agree with the headroom and getting a bigger tent should help a little with that but ultimately you’re right this is a cheaper option but the lack of headroom is a negative. Appreciate you watching Brother!! 👍🏻👊🏻🔥
