HELLO OVM. I WAS INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO TAT AND I CAME ACROSS YOUR VIDEOS AND I AM SO GLAD I DID. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING IT BECAUSE YOUR VIDEO WAS THE BEST ONE YET. I WAS ABLE TO WATCH IT AND WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE A PROJECT. FOR SOMEONE WHO WAS SELF TAUGHT, YOU ARE AMAZING. PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO WHAT YOU DO. I NEVER BOUGHT A TATTING NEEDLE. YOU CAN GO TO WAL MART AND BUY WHAT IS CALLED A ‘DOLL’ NEEDLE AND THEY WORK JUST AS WELL EXCEPT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THE TIP IS VERY SHARP.

I've been crocheting since I was a kid, and while searching some ideas I ran into something that looked awesome, but was obviously miss labeled as crochet. After some digging, I went on to see what the hell was that tatting business. The first thing I saw used some weird shaped shell thing which just didn't make any sense. I must say I'm happy this series was the second tutorial I ran into. :D I love you energy and the leisure approach. It is 5 AM here and I'm off to see the third video. Thank you and good luck :*

Thanks for going slow with your tatting instructions. Watched two other videos from other instructors and I had to stop watching. They were so fast in giving instructions, I thought I was running a race. Your instructions are easy and I can't wait to go to JoAnn's tomorrow and get my needles and get started. I hope you have a blessed day.

You are a wonderful teacher....keep the faith! I will tat now for sure I think I've seen the needles at AC Moore +/or Michael's in the row with other needles and DMC possibly called a long needle? unless I'm thinking of the beading needles? I remember being told about classes on this requiring a 6" dull point needle if that helps---but look around they have been known to have their yarn needles in 3 different isles!

I have fluked it a couple of times but I wish I knew EXACTLY what thread I'm pulling through etc, and does the needle stay threaded throughout the "casting off"?? I don't know if you know of a video that shows this in more detail? If I was to search what would I call it? But Thankyou Marcelle as always YOU'RE AMAZING, I just would love to know exactly what I'm doing. I know it's hard to explain thoug

You are a good teacher. I like that you go slow and repeat the steps. I usually get by the second time you do it. I do have a question about the tail. I realize that most of the thread we are using comes off the ball of thread, but do we use any of the tail up? I would not know how to add more to the tail. And secondly, what if I am making a large center piece for a table, how do you add more thread to the end of the ball? I would not want the thread to fall apart on a big piece of tatting work. Thank you. I think you are a fabulous teacher.

I've heard picot pronounced three different ways. When pulling your stitches off needle, always hold the last few stitches you put on between your thumb and finger. I am fairly new at this myself. I made butterflies and attached a little glue to add a magnet. After they dry,you have fridge magnets. I also added beads for the body.

Maggi Rivera the word is French and its pronounced pee-coh even though there is a “t” on the end. She now pronounces it correctly
