You clearly show each step by step in real time. Thank you so much! I have MS and I need to watch each tutorials a lot more than once. What would it be like not to have the internet? How would more people learn this beautiful "lost" craft? You are good at teaching at a pace that can be followed. Thank you~Thank you!!!

All three videos are excellent at explaining this old tradition, it was used as a pass time for the women folk on our traditional canal boats and barges, so so pleased you have put this up, would hate for this old traditional way to be lost here in England.

I cannot thank you enough. Thanks to your detailed instructions I finally learned to tat after trying, and failing miserably, for 50 + ( yes, FIFTY) years. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and not even close to how good yours looks, but I can only get better from here. I owe you a debt of gratitude, as I am crying happy tears here.

Thank you thank you thank you, tried to do tatting after going to a craft fair in England and met the "ring of Tatters". They used a different tool and it seemed so complicated. I can usually turn my hand to any craft but this outwitted me till now. thank you once again.

Very good tutorial, thanks. Your explainations are clear, and easy to follow. I have a book about tatting, but never tried before because I didn't understand how to do it ( I'm from those people who need to see someone doing things to understand how to do them). I already know how to crochet and knit, and now, thanks to you I'll finally be able to tat. Watching you tutorials made tatting easier for me, and you really made me wanna try it now. I hope I would be able to make earrings like you do ( you really do wonderful earrings, I love them). Thanks again for your tutorials. And please excuse my english if it's not really good, my birth language is french.

You are a great teacher. Thank you. My grandmother wanted to teach me how to tat, she taught me all the other crafts, but sadly she passed before she could teach me to tat. I never saw her use a needle to tat with, this is a first for me, she used a shuttle. It is exciting to finally know how to tat.

I just wanted to tell you OVM, you truly have the Father's gift of teaching! I have been doing needle work since I was a very young girl, but never could get tatting from my Granny. While I still plan on learning with a shuttle just like she did, I have really enjoyed using the needle because of you! I watched many different needle tatters and none made the sense that you have. Blessings, dear sister!! (I really love your KZbin name, btw!)--And, yes, I completed my first flower as well.

You are amazing! Thank you so so much for your easy to follow tatting tutorials. I watched all three of these Saturday evening and by Saturday night I had made two snowflakes. I'm not even kidding! My nine year old now wants in on the tatting action, telling me she's putting tatting needles and crochet cotton on her Christmas list. :) Yours were, by far, the easiest tutorials for me to follow and I now have folks wanting me to teach them. I told them to skip me and come right on over here. :)

Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. I have made a couple of flowers and I have a question. Sometimes the new ring or chain seems to be upside down and I can't tell if I am starting on the right side. Is there an up and down and should the new loop be made starting on one side or the other? I think I am flipping the loops over and then not finding the correct side to start again. I hope you can understand my question! I am a little confused! Thanks.

I just made my first piece using your videos. Thank you! They were very easy. I even made a mistake on the small 4 ones.. and accidentaly pulled the thread all the way through instead of looping it. (I thought I Had a longer thread) but I actually managed to undo it back to the larger loop and redo it... which helped me to gain confidence in understanding how the construction works.

You are so precious. Thank you for taking the time to share your talent. I like the way you say picot. ❤️ As a brand new never before tatter, your instructions were very understandable and the speed was perfect. Can you please explain/demonstrate in a future video when tying a knot how the thread should consistently land. For example, the ball thread on the left and the needle thread on the right. I found myself struggling with this and wished I knew the rule. I appreciated your demonstration of how to turn the work so the threads crossed for the start of the knot. Now just take it into where the threads should end up and how the knot should appear once it is done. I noticed that you always adjust the thread loops just so before cinching it down. I suppose that is the key, but would like you to explain it. You probably just do it without knowing you are doing it. Lol. Thank you again and God bless you and your family. Judy

Hey OV thanks so much for this, I'm so into it!! While waiting for tatting needles I was able to get a hold of doll needles which I blunted. Where there is a will there is a way! Just one question.. Does your tail have to be REALLY long? Cause I keep running out of tail.. It seems that is where the work slides over, is this correct? Basically should I have enough tail for the whole work/piece? Thanks a million :)
