I found my second family in school. All my friends, my favourite teachers who always cared about me and helped me to overcome my depression, the choir at school that made me proud of myself and made me smile no matter what. All of them are my family. And now I have to go. Today is our prom and after it my chapter with these wonderful people will be over. Thank you for this beautiful cover, it made my cry and smile at the same time because of the unforgetable experiences I have made with my family.

Every so often a song resonates incredibly deep and you can't get it out of your head or heart. This is one of those songs. The lovely voices and the stunning scenery highlight lyrics that echo deep in my heart. "Tell me your story and I'll tell you mine. I'm all ears, take your time, we've got all night." Telling stories and listening in return connects us to other humans. It's so much harder to hate and "other" when we truly love. "Hand me a pen and I'll rewrite the pain, when you're ready, we'll turn the page together." Being able to sit with someone in their pain or have someone sit with you is a connecting experience. Being willing to truly sit with and mourn with people who mourn takes compassion. I'm grateful for people who have been willing to mourn with me and I hope to be able to sit with others as they share their pain with me. Thanks One Voice for putting together this beautiful video that means so much. It's forever one of my top favorite songs. Love our OVCC family.

I already left a message but wanted to tell you OVCC that I was adopted (in 1955, it was easier to adopt in Québec). Each time I am asked if my parents had a medical condition , ... you know, these kind of questions, I always felt, I feel and I will always feel privileged that maman and papa chose me ! I am so glad, happy, proud to tell "J'ai été adoptée " ! ( I was adopted )
